  1. I'm looking for a pen with line variation that I can use for taking notes.I want it to write fine and preferably not very wet I have a small budget ~$35. The only pens I've seen that I've seen that fit the criteria are Noodler's Ahab/Konrad, Nemosine Singularity and Pilot Plumix, which of these would be the best for note taking and are there any other pens that fit the criteria.

    Nib Experts, Help Me Out?

Is there a type or grind of fountain pen nib that still has tipping material, yet still allows for natural line variation while writing normally? And is it possible for the hobbyist to try this at home? I have plenty of pens with italic, cursive italic, and other non-tipped nibs, so that's not what I'm asking. The Waterman Carene Medium nib has been aptly described as 'stubbish.' This is the sort of thing I'm looking for. Thanks!
  3. A few weeks ago I was watching Nathan Tardiff's video concerning BSiar. I posted a question in the comments (I'm muskndusk on youtube) asking about the colour changes. Recently I received his response. He said: To which I responded: He has also changed the video description to include this information. If anyone wants to check this, the link is: (Click on the 'watch on youtube' button to read the comments.) I'm not criticising either Nathan or Noodler's, I'm just confused. There does seem to be an appreciable difference in the ink, many people on this forum have commented upon it, so what is really going on? If I order an ink, will I receive the colour I expect? I'm confused.
