  1. Hi all, I hope everyone is having a good week! I am looking to sell this fountain pen, amongst others, due to a recent change of circumstances. What is the best approach to take if I want a quick sale? Any advice or tips on marketing or value are welcome. Sakura is a very important symbol for the Japanese culture. It symbolizes beauty and transience, as well as the beginning of spring. Produced in 2002, this Sakura honors the Lady Ise and is fashioned from 18 karat rose gold highlighted with cherry blossoms painted in exquisite enamel work. Built on the Boheme chassis this exquisite pen features a retracting 18K 750 rose gold Medium (M) nib marked with Kanji characters.4 1/2 ” (11.4 cm).Limited to only 88 piece world-wide. This precious Limited Edition is a unique treasure from Montblanc Atelier. Each individual writing instrument is the work of a master craftsman and bears a specific limited edition number as proof of its exclusivity. Presented in an ivory colored box with all original packaging and papers. Thank you.

A most peculiar feed... Part II

Some of you may remember a thread I started a couple of weeks ago about a feed we discovered repairing a woodgrain lever pen: Well, I'm still none the wiser about the origins of the pen or the feed, but here is Part II of the story... After cleaning the rust and the remnants of the old coil, I attempted to replace with a new coil. However, the top lug of the feed snapped, revealing a rusted metal core (about a 10mm long) running through the feed. You can see the core on the feed side: This is the other half on the lug that snapped off: So this is the question that puzzles me: Is that metal core supposed to be there? If so, there is no explanation for the tubular channel in the middle of the feed, and the hole in the lug at the top: On the other hand, if it is not supposed to be there, how did it come to be? And should I attempt to remove it and create a flow through the core of the feed, before re-attaching the top lug? Any suggestions to solve the mystery, gratefully appreciated! Thanks George
  3. Hello everyone, I need some help trying to find an ink that would be good for taking notes on in school. I'm trying to look for a unique and fun color that is pretty easy to read back without eye strain (so I'm not really looking for anything super bright). I don't really care what color, just looking for a fun ink that wouldn't get boring and would be good for a lot of writing. I want to use only one color to keep my notes uniform so that is my main reason for looking for a unique color. Thanks for all the help!

  5. I am coming to this group because the experts of ink reside in this little part of the FPN world. Yes, you are all experts or hoarders at the very least! I have recently acquired, totally by good fortune, a unique vintage bottle of dried ink. The color inside is (was) green and nothing unique by today's standards (we have a vast array of ink colors to choose from now), but the bottle....so fun!! http:// The brand is PIQUE and I cannot find anything online about an ink of this type. The lid of the bottle is a metal screw type and the bottle is a clear triangular shape. It's so cool!! Because this is an international site, I was hoping maybe someone outside of the U.S.A. would have some insight into this? If not, I'll try re-hydrating the ink and give it a dip, calling it Pique Ink #9, lol. I have already checked with Sam at Pendemonium as she often has vintage bottles, but she has never heard of or seen this!
