Pilot Metropolitan Started Writing A Bit Scratchy

So I'm kinda new to fountain pens and bought a Pilot metropolitan (fine nib) about a month and a half ago. It came with the tines misaligned but I ended "fixing" that after some trial and error, it was still somewhat scratchy and offered some resistance but was usable. After a few weeks of use, it became buttery smooth and was a joy to use but now it writes with some resistance and scratchiness again, it seems to be scratchy only on parts of words and not all the time, though the resistance is constant. I tried to align the tines again but to no avail. It writes better at certain angles but never as smooth as it used to. Am I missing something? Did I do a newbie mistake? -
I have a pen with an interesting tine alignment issue. It's a used, vintage Pelikan MK30 with an OM nib. Basically the issue is that the pen seems to write best only when the tines are actually misaligned slightly. I've straightened them out several times, looking through a 10X then a 20X loupe until they're perfect. I write with it and it feels scratchy for a while then the left tine pops back down to where it likes to be and it's nice and smooth again. It's crooked enough to be visible with the naked eye (it can be a little bit distracting) but it really does write better this way. I'm thinking it might be because it's oblique that it shows this odd behavior, has anyone else encountered something like this?

Hello FPN, I have a Parker 45 flighter that's got a case of tine alignment issue. The problem is, the nib is not actually mis-aligned, when I disassemble it, (ie. take the collar off the nib unit freeing the nib) the nib tines are perfectly aligned. However when I reassemble it, the collar seems to be pushing one tine downwards further than the other resulting in scratchiness . Is this a common problem with parker 45s? Is there a way to prevent the collar from pushing one tine down further than the other? I've tried rotating the collar a bit and jiggling it around as I slide it up the feed to no avail. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Hello! I've had some nib alignment issues with a couple of pens I've bought lately and I've read lots of threads about aligning the tines. Most say to just bend it with your fingernails until everything is fine. However, when I do this, the tine just springs right back to where it was before (one tine is below the other). I've bent the tine progressively more and more far back (more than the thickness of the other tine) but it just keeps going back to where it was. So I was wondering if anyone has any advice about how far I can push the tine? Do I push it up even more? Or is that going to spring the nib? If that will spring the nib, what else should I do to get the tines in alignment? The nib is a 14k Pelikan nib if that helps. Thanks for any help!
