Hello, In my recent trip (two weeks back) I bought two brand new senator president pens one for using and one for keeping in my collection, had inked the one for use with the penman sapphire, today decided i want to use another pen, so wanted to use another pen, emptied it from the remaining ink and started to flushed it with water few times, and as I was moving the piston to release the water, the nib and the feed just poped out, tried to insert them back and they fitted very easily with almost no friction, thought this one might be faulty, so went to the other brand new one (never inkd/used) and removed the cap and tried to pull off the feed and the nib, and they came out with no effort, actually removing the cap needed more effort than removing the feed and the nib. Does anyone else experienced similar problem????? This was really a very disappointing experience and will always look at this brand as a low quality. Best regards.

So... I purchased a Senator fountain pen online because the damn things are just awesome for the price. BUT, this one has a loose filler knob under the blind cap, and has begun leaking ink around the piston, into the back of the pen, and out at the loose filler knob. I'm baffled. I pulled the nib out, tried to flush the pen out (but that is difficult considering there is ink behind the piston which is now leaking towards the ink chamber. Is there a way to remove and .. I dunno, "fluff up" the edge of the piston? or put a glob of silicone grease in it? I can't tell where you would disassemble the body of the pen further. Anyone got ideas?

Ok, so I'm not going to the effort of typing this whole thing twice (my page closed on me), so I'll be brief. I've been using this Senator pen for a while now and I've come to really appreciate it, however, no matter how extensive my searching, I cannot find information on the pen. I've found pens similar to my one, from Senator, however there are still distinctive differences so I've ruled them out. The pen is good for a lefty (I am one of those) as the nib is fine, or even extra-fine (brass?), meaning it's very conservative and I don't get any smudging, however it can be kind of scratchy at times. There is no other name or marking on the pen apart from 'senator', on both the nib and the lid. It must be mentioned that even though I'd love to hear that this pen is actually a rarity or good quality pen, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a cheap import knock-off. Any information on this pen would be interesting and welcomed.. Thanks!

Hi. A friend of mine have a old senator pen (the company not the parker model) that have a strange nib design. The nib don't have any marks that show that it have been bent by accident and it writes really good the way it is now. The pen was given to my friends mother in Ukraine 20years ago or more. From what I can find the pen is of the model souverän but i have been unable to find any more info on it or picture on-line.
