  1. Colorful play pens pif…. Whatever I can fit in a flat rate envelope. Some of the items include ink sample vials, a tangerine Parker Jotter fountain pen, some no-name Lamy Safari-form Chinese fountain pens, in Pepto Bismol pink and Lemonade yellow among other colors, a UPS pen. I'll leave this open a while. Stipulations: CONUS only, and no one who's won a previous PIF from me will be eligible. Winner selected by the highly scientific eeny-meeny system. Good luck!
  2. Free to anyone in the US. PM me if interested. Send me postal costs via paypal for elsewhere. These are 1-2 ml samples from Goulet Pens, in plastic vials.
  3. 2 whole milliliters of ink. What do you do when you open that vial? Ink a couple of pens but don't fill the converter? And what to do when the vial gets so low that you can't fill your pen? (I have several samples with just that little bit at the bottom...) Looking for suggestions for making the most of that 2ml.
  4. I have tried several systems for making ink samples and after a few trial starts, I have decided on a version I think will suit my needs. I will need 2 different types of paper. I am planning on: 1) Making half page writing samples on normal letter/print paper. 2) Making my own sample cards about the size of a baseball card for swabs. So I am looking for both regular paper for writing samples as well as a heavier card stock type paper for the baseball cards. I look forward to your suggestions and expertise in starting with the right paper. Thanks, Cabbie
  5. Hi everyone, I was wondering what the cheapest site to get ink samples in Canada is. Is it Goulet Pens, where the only downside is the 10$ shipping fee? Are there sites that ship for cheaper or for free even? Thank you all very much in advance!
  6. Does anyone know of anywhere you can get samples of L'Artisan Pastellier Callifolio inks? I have bought samples from Goulet Pens and Anderson Pens, but neither of them sell L'Artisan Pastellier Callifolio inks. Jetpens sells L'Artisan Pastellier Callifolio inks, but they don't sell samples. I don't like the idea of buying a full bottle without being able to see a sample first. Thanks.
  7. Just received a transparent Jinhao 599 green demonstrator and looking for ideas or suggestions for green inks to try before selecting it's permanent filling partner. Wondered what green inks users here would suggest. What were their favorites? Ones they had the most fun with or ones that work well for everyday use without feathering and bleed through. I'd appreciate sample writing or even swabs in the inks you're discussing and a bit of feedback on why you suggest the ink, who made it, and what it cost you. So far I have no green inks except Emerald of Chivor, which doesn't really shine in medium pens or those that aren't especially wet. So looking for options. Any input and suggestions are welcomed and Thanks in advance for any help. Looking for a good ink to fill this beauty. Currently Considering: J Herbin apple green scented ink. For fun and the scented aspect. Lamy Lime green cheap and fun.

After discovering a small local shop that carries vials and bottles, And receiving a few samples myself from a PiF friend I'm now offering a sample of each J.Herbin "Stormy Grey" and Lavenger "Amethyst" Samples are approx 3ml in a small glass vial. Recipients must be in the contiguous 48 US states. It would also be appreciated if the empty bottle could be returned after samples have been enjoyed. Please simply state which of the two samples you'd prefer or both, Ideally for new enthusiasts, or those wanting to try new colors but open to all. Will decide on Friday unless samples are already taken by then. First come first serve. One of each. Additional samples of other inks to come later.

    True Blue

My samples of Purple inks are coming in, but let's proceed on to my goal to collect the rainbow. So how about blues? I don't like blues with hints of purple. I need something like a royal blue. I will be using Claifontaine tablets. I may use an italic nib/medium, so shading is a bonus. Thanks!!! -Franky
  11. I am relatively new to fountain pens, so don't have a big collection of empty pens on hand. I recently ordered a few samples of ink from Goulet Pens, but was only able to try out 3 of 5 due to my lack of suitable pens. I am attempting to find a "signature" ink in my favorite color of teal and am slowly working my way through my collection of samples. I had an idle thought today that I could order several Platinum Preppy pens, transfer all the ink from a sample vial into a pen, then immediately be able to make a writing sample, but also leave it in the pen for storage (labelled in some way of course). As one of my daily use pens runs dry of its test ink, I can use a syringe to transfer ink from the eyedropper into it for trial. Is this a feasible idea? What other options are there for instant gratification ink trials?

    9668 Nib Sample Writing

I would love to see a sample from 9668 and the 2314X stubs Very difficult to me to go by the preferences of other persons. Would like to see a series of thread where owners would just place the nib number as tittle and include the sample. Wouldn't that be great?

    March Ink Drop! *flails*

My very first Ink Drop shipment showed up today. \o/ I'm very happy with it. Two of them are inks I already have, but I like them so I'm fine with getting more. The remaining three are new to me and are colors I can plausibly use. I'll have to empty out some pens tonight so I can play.
  14. Hi folks, Sorry for what I know is a repeat topic, my inter-forum search skills failed me miserably. Who was the person on here that sells sample vials? Best wishes all Robin
