I recently had a Mont Blanc Diamond LeGrand fail. The pen was in my travel bag on a trip. When I opened the bag and checked my pen holder, I noticed the barrel had broken off at the end. Either the bag took a sharp impact or the barrel failed. I contacted a local Mont Blanc authorized dealer regarding repair and they indicated there was no option for repair. It was purchased in 2011 in the UK from Herrod's who is an authorized dealer and all of the paperwork, receipts, and boxes are still in my possession. The dealer indicated the pen did not have a repair option and I should look at a new pen. Seems crazy for an $600 pen. The diamond cap and other parts are all still intact. The barrel failed at the spring on the back end. I simply want to order a replacement barrel, not an entirely new pen. What are my options and any suggestions as to an Authorized Dealer who may be able to get parts? Thank you. Chris

I live in Kolkata, India. I have a Parker Frontier Matte Black fountain pen which has been a longtime favourite! Recently its nib got destroyed as it fell from my table . I do not want to buy a new one as this particular one has many fond memories attached to it. Will appreciate if anybody tells me how or where do I get a spare nib for this particular pen, preferrably in golden/dual colour?

Morriset And Sheaffer Fineline Dipless Pens - Many Questions
Chazzy91 posted a topic in Fountain & Dip Pens - First Stop
Noble FP Sages, I have recently come into a couple desk pen sets once belonging to a late lawyer relative. I'm including additional photos just for clarity, as mine are missing a few pieces. I have glass ink bottle inserts for both units (one original, one of my own devising) so the innards are covered as far as I know. HOWEVER, I am having a painful time finding original Morris pens (the nib units are all over ebay, but not the pens...) and I don't even know what to look for with the Sheaffer, as the unit was made by the Fineline division so any searches there produce predominantly the Fineline fp's. Questions: Where can I find original pens? If that's impossible, will Esterbrook dipless or another brand work well with these? Are there some standardized dipless pens that will take the Morris nib units? Morriset Dipless Pen Set (http://www.richardspens.com/?page=ref/glossary/D.htm) Pristine Example: Mine: Sheaffer Fineline Desk Pen Better Example: Mine: Thanks for reading! I look forward to your feedback. -
Are there any nibs (that are not Sheaffer) that can be used in the Sheaffer 100? Also, what are the nibs from other Sheaffer products that fit the Sheaffer 100?

Looking For Replacement Nib For Franklin Covey Fountain Pan
Dehumbertman posted a topic in Of Nibs & Tines
I just picked up a Franklin Covey fountain pen for $20 at staples. It writes well and smooth and I'm overall very happy with it. However I would like to put a fine or extra fine nib on it. I have found a bunch of sites offering replacement nibs, but I don't know if it uses a #5, #6, mini, etc. I really would like to keep using this one mainly for the body. It has the perfect weight and girth for my hand and I overall prefer the feel of it compared to my others. This is why I'm just trying to replace the nib for a finer line. Any info and help would be greatly appreciated. -
Hello, Does anyone know how to replace the nib of a Montegrappa Symphony? I have looked at it and I can't seem to take the feeder and the nib out. They don't seem to be screwed in, like the Miya is for example... Any thoughts on this?

Hello everyone, new poster here, purchased myself a Lamy CP1 a short while ago with Diamine Red Dragon for redlines at work. Since buying this setup I have fallen in love with fountain pens and hand writing. I went further and purchased a 1.1mm italic nib and Diamine Majestic Blue ink. I am completely torn between the 2 inks and it is way too inconvenient to go through the process of cleaning out the pens just to change ink colours. So I purchased a Jinhao 126 from a local shop. I don't like the look of the nib and was wondering about replacing it for a 1.1mm nib. I have found no information on this pen and switching nibs, and was told I can, cant, and can but only with expensive nibs, replace the nib. The nib's come off like a fountain pen would, I was wondering if someone could identify the type of nib I need to pick up which would fit the pen. If anyone has any idea what kind of nib would be compatible I would appreciate it Please see picture below.

Okay, so it's partly my own fault, but... ...two years ago at the Dallas Pen Show, I purchased this beautiful little Majestic vest pen? I call it a vest pen as it's small. I did not take reading glasses along with me at that time and my eye sight wasn't perfect. So, I took the pen on good fait that all was well. (Perhaps the seller's eye sight was as bad as mine!) Long story short, I went to clean/use the pen for the first time tonight (don't start with me as this is the third tiny pen I had acquired) and I decided to look and see if the nib had any flex. I started to gently press the nib on my nail and suddenly, I felt it give! I had barely even touched it to the nail at this point! Horror upon horrors, I got out the magnifying glass and looked. There was a definite break line across the base of the nib, right before the collar. Ugh!!! You can see it in the photo. It has since broken completely when I gently put it back down on the feed. I decided to clean the pen to see if the vue window would become clear and it pretty much has, but I noticed the underside of the original nib was quite corroded. I have read in the small amount of info I could find, that these nibs were just average at best. Thus I must ask...can replacement nibs be found? And, if not, what size nib would work as a replacement? The nib (unless I can get the tiny part still sticking out of the collar out) doesn't tell what the nib is made of. I'm guessing steal as the color is silver (with gold in the groves up front). Any help on this would be fabulous!! It would also make me feel better, lol! Here are some photos. It's a beautiful little pen!! (The clip is different than all the photos I've seen thus far, so no clue on age.)

Hey Everyone! My name is Tyler, and I just bought a cross aventura fountain pen. Now, I didn't really know what I was getting myself into, and it's not really what I wanted. I should have done a bit of research before purchasing! oops. My big question is... Can I put a Lamy Calligraphy nib on this pen? If it's possible, how would I go about doing that? Any help would be wonderful! Thanks, Tpendleton

Hi All, New to the forum, but have been lurking for a few weeks. I have a Wahl Oxford lever filler that I love to death. Unfortunately today the cap split in half. Do you know of anywhere I can find a replacement to fit? I don't care about the aesthetics, I just don't want to lose my favorite pen. Any hints would be much appreciated. Thanks, AndeeK

Is it still possible to get stub nibs from Waterman or do you know of any other source of replacement nibs for the Waterman 100 (besides random luck on ebay)? I would love to find a factory stub but would also be happy with a medium that could be custom ground to a stub And if so, any idea of the cost? many thanks

I'm looking for a replacement nib for my kaweco classic sport, but the only replacement nib I can find from a u.s. retailer is part number 060, which supposedly is not compatible with the classic sport model. I'm thinking maybe the nib itself can be swapped out, and it's the whole feed/nib/housing that is incompatible as sold? Can anyone confirm? Or would it be possible to buy a non-kaweco nib to fit in this pen? I'd be happy to look in that direction too, especially if it might be cheaper than buying the kaweco replacement which amounts to a significant percentage of the cost of the entire pen.

Hi Everyone, Is anyone aware if there is a possibility for changing the nibs in a Sailor fountain pen? It seems they do not offer the possibility to purchase them from the company themselves. Is there anyone out there who knows of a seller, technician, etc. who can help in this matter? Regards

Hi there. I'm looking for replacement parts for a pen, which I'm not sure of the brand. This pen was bought for me from a tabac in Beziers, France. It's a cheap pen, but I took it with me on a holiday in Europe and it worked like a dream. When I returned, I couldn't find the occasion to write with it, so it fell out of use for a few months. I picked it up again recently, and found that it is not working like it used to. The pen will draw ink from the cartridge, and will write for two or three lines, but then will run dry. If I remove and replace the cartridge, it will then do the same thing again. I thoroughly cleaned the insides, thinking that was the issue, but the problem remained. I bought new and different inks, but they all had the same issue. I then took it to T Sharps, my local pen shop, and they said the insides were clean, and that the problem was with the nib, which seemed damaged. I do not remember dropping it, but I'm pretty rough with my pens, and the nib does look a bit damaged, so I agree that the nib is the problem. I was then told that they could not do repairs, as they were not sure of the brand of the pen. (It has Enzo Varini written on the cap, but that is the only identifier, and a quick google search shows no results of a pen brand of that name.) They also did not have any replacement parts, as they said these types of pens are generally hand made with random parts from other pens. I am quite eager to have this pen fixed, and was wondering if anybody had seen a pen like this, or knew where to get replacement parts. I would be happy to replace all of it, as long I could still use the case. Thank you for any help you can provide, Adam

Broken Fins On Feed. Find A Replacement Feed, Or Look For A New Section?
PaleNine posted a topic in Waterman
So, I bought a new Waterman and can't identify it, but I'm thinking something in the 500 series. Anyway, I have four broken fins on the feed. It still writes, but railroads often and is really scratchy when trying to write at a normal speed. Is it easier to try and find a replacement section, or find a replacement feed? Also, the nib is a 14 ct W5. Should I be looking for a number 5 feed as well? Since it's a cartridge pen, is there anything in particular I need to be looking for? Thanks. -
I am very new to this, I have a smallish budget, I like to tinker. I have seen numerous vintage pens on ebay that were missing nibs or had nibs that pretty clearly looked like goners. For something like a Mid-century Parker I am sure there is some set way or ways to get these nibs/send them off to be replaced. However, if I wanted to replace a missing nib in a vintage pen, where would I start? This does not strike me as easy, and I am pretty sure it is even less easy than it strikes me, but I figure if I never ask I will never know more than I do now... T

Recently bought an Ahab, loved it. Then I dropped it, nib tines were misaligned and I bent them back into shape as well as I can, and the tip is tilted in an annoying way. The tines on my nib refuse to realign completely, meaning the pen is a bit scratcher than I'd like, so I'll need a replacement nib. I need a noodlers nib to replace it, anyone know where I can get one? I can't get any photos, so sorry.

Hi all, I've won this Vacumatic http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/vintage-parker-fountain-pen-/261208379828?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT&nma=true&si=I%252F54QePjwSIBcPn4t%252FY06icTTi8%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc and am wondering how I tell what the correct cap would be? I'm figuring even if it's knackered and I can't find an appropriate cap, it's worth it for the nib alone. But I'd rather not strip it if I can avoid that.
