    Private Reserve Sherwood

My favorite green. I wish it had more water resistance. But I love the color and the shading. It has a nice reddish sheen to it also that's not really that hard to bring out. It's a smooth writer. Great for my pocket pen and my pocket notebook.

    Private Reserve Velvet Black

So this is another one that I haven't seen an overabundance of reviews for. However it comes up often in black ink recommendations. Not as often as Noodler's or Aurora or J. Herbin. But I picked up a bottle on the cheap so here I have it. Overall Impressions: This is a nice black. I like to write with it. It's smooth. Writes really nicely. And smooth. It's a black black, so not much for shading. It has some water resistance. Not permanent. Bonus section: This ink has a gold sheen. It's not as noticeable as on some colors, because it's black. But if you like sheen above all, this is probably the black ink for you.

    Pr American Blue For Student?

I am needing a good ink to use to take notes in lectures with my Parker 51 vacumatic and Sheaffer PFM. I prefer to use a good darkish blue ink as that sort of color is perfect for any possible situation I might face with any of my heavy use pens. I was thinking about trying the Fast Drying Private Reserve American Blue, as I like the color, and the fast drying would be great for rapid note taking. However, it seems like in some of the discussions it is sometimes mentioned that there are problems with the ink clogging. I am really looking for a no-fuss blue ink here. Does this fit the bill? Thank you!
  4. Hi all, Just got some Private Reserve Sepia through the post and I'm really impressed with the shading. It looks like tortoise shell, its delicious. I'm wondering if its the nib more than the ink thought. If you use it, does it look like this for you? http://www.flickr.com/photos/39505524@N02/9452708010/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/39505524@N02/9449913335/ Pen: TWSBI Vac 700 Nib: Noodlers Flex. Ink: As above!
