  1. Hello everybody Today I would like to start a conversation about EDC systems and which pens you carry everyday. I'll start: I have two pen pouches, one with 3 slots and one with 4 slots. Both of them are in brown leather. In the pouch with 3 slots (which has my last name engraved in the leather) I have the pens which have the 3 'basic colours'/most frequent used colours of ink: - Red: For the red ink I use Pelikan Edelstein Ruby, in my Parker Sonnet in red lacquer. Fine nib. Lovely pen but rigid nib, in the future I'd like to upgrade this pen to a burgundy sailor pro gear. - Green: The
  2. I recently had the good fortune of running into a second Pelikan D.R.G.M. stamped leather pouch for two pens, most likely from 1930s-1940s. As I call it I got it for a song (15€ with shipping and with a no name fountain pen included) so it is currently on its way to me from Germany. The pouch itself is made of four pieces, black leather on the top and bottom with a liner of red leather running in between, and a zipper with red textile backing running on top. The back piece is stamped in the center with Pelikan D.R.G.M. It fits a 100, 100N and even a 400 with a matching
  3. Ugh. I spent a half a freaking hour typing out a description and "review" here, clearly elucidating my concerns with the product and teeming with the needless and frankly pretentious verbosity such a review necessarily entails, only to have it whisked away by my browser so kindly deciding to close on me without notice. So screw it. Damn it all. If this be the decision of the Internet Gods this day, what is a humble mortal like me to argue? Maybe the opposite of verbosity is more suited. So without further adieu: pouch; problems leather look good feel nice -> sleek design simple & plea
  4. I'm looking for a leather pen pouch that will accommodate larger pens such as a Sailor Ebonite KOP as well as smaller pens too. I want a separate compartment for pens, a flap that works with longer pens and ideally UK or European made. Happy to pay more for a quality product, in fact I'd prefer that ideally. I’ve seen the Morgan Esq. pen cases but don’t know much about them. Personal recommendations from experience are really welcome.
  5. Hi to all, I'm an artisan specialised in hand-crafted watches and leather accessories from Barcelona and I'l like to introduce my new series of Traveler Fountain Pen Pouches. As a keen traveller I've always carried in my bag the travel journal along a bottle of Iroshizuku ink and a Lamy. For a while I just had both the pen and the ink inside a plastic, zip bag but started to wonder how could I keep my pen in a more stylish way, specially if I took with me not the Safari but the M1000 or the Falcon... So after few iterations and thousands of km travelled I'm really happy with the result: The

    Montblanc Leather Pouch Question

Hi, I'm getting a Montblanc Meisterstück Classique pen in either gold or platinum (can't decide!) and would be grateful for any advice regarding my concerns with Montblanc's leather pouches. I already have a Montblanc Meisterstück 1 pen leather pouch but having read through some threads on this site I'm concerned about the risk of scratching the pen (especially as the 'precious resin' appears to be vulnerable to surface marks) and possible long-term corrosion to the gold plated parts such as the clip caused by the chrome tanned leather. I checked Montblanc's website which does not disclose
  7. I've been looking for a decent pen case for a little while and I've narrowed down my choices to two similar cases. They are both hard ish leather, hold three pens, are similarly sized, and the price is similar as well. I'm just curious to know if anyone out there would recommend one over the other, since I don't know which of the two to pick. Pelikan or Aston? There is also this Aston 4 pen case, but the leather is softer and it doesn't look quite as protective or sturdy. Any advice? Sorry if this has been asked [a million times] before.
  8. Okay, technically it's just $44.04. But I bet it would climb with the postage, particularly if you're not in Japan. It's made by Pilot in collab with another brand, presumably of leather goods since it's all leather (anyone knowledgeable about Japanese brands care to weigh in?) As far as I can tell it closes with a magnetic flap, and those look like Pilot cartridges in the piccy, so Int'l standard might be a poor fit. Bah! Then it won't work for me, tsk tsk. (yep, it's that, and NOT the fact that my regular pen budget tops out at $30 each lol)
