I just published a review of the Pilot Custom Heritage 912 with Posting (PO) nib: http://tina-koyama.blogspot.com/2015/07/product-review-under-rated-pilot.html I find this fantastic nib to be seriously under-rated and under-discussed! It's the finest nib I've used that is ALSO very smooth. It's relatively easy to find Japanese nibs that are extra-fine, but finding the smooth part is another matter. This nib gets my two thumbs up on both counts. Check out the interesting curve toward the paper:

Con-70 Filling Tips Help Please, Pilot Custom Heritage Posting Nib
Intellidepth posted a topic in Japan - Asia
I have a uni exam in just over a week and will be trialling my Pilot custom heritage posting nib fp under real exam conditions (yes, I'm practicing with it, it's my favourite uni pen). When I refill, or try to, it the converter hardly fills. When it does, it's full of air bubbles. What am I doing wrong please? Or is there some trick I should know? Seems to be writing fine, but I want maximum ink in that converter for the exam (3 hrs of writing). I've already figured out I can't fill the converter separately without the section/nib unit attached to eliminate bubbles like I can with Lamy converters. Details: I finished an Iroshizuku ink blend, rinsed converter and section/nib unit with lots of distilled water (that con-70 is a pest to get clean!) shook out water vigorously, dried it off a bit, and put in Sailor Blue Black (apparently permanent) with a manuf date of May 2008 (bought new at full RRP just a couple of weeks ago from a retail fp store in Brisbane, Aus.) Sailor Blue Black is going to be the everyday ongoing ink for this pen. Thanks! -
Hi there, This is one of my most prolonged pen related decisions. Fist I wanted to try a Platinum UEF, but it is out of stock nearly everywhere. Then I was about to hit the buy button for a Century EF, but couldn't made up my mind whether to get the Bourgogne or the Chartres Blue. Finally decided to go for the Blue EF, and it is again out of stock. After these an other thing came to my mind, the Pilot PO nib. I though it'll be easier to choose. HAHA!!!! NO.... Custom Heritage 912, Custom 742? or the 743 worth the difference? Do I like the flat ends of the Heritage more than the more classic cigar shape? The rhodium plated parts of the 912 are appealing though.... I JUST CAN'T MAKE UP MY MIND...
