  1. This show up shared by the originator of the whole effort online , I will skip the interim part ( not that all of us can read Chinese anyway ) but here's the link - Free and Copyright granted Textbook / Manual on writing semi-cursive Chinese Calligraphy ( in ENGLISH ) -
  2. Situation – I manage a large company and my day is in meetings and email. In the meetings I take notes in bullet journal / note taking style. I use an A4 lined notebook and a Lamy 2k for note taking, I love it! At the end of the day I close out my day writing my bullets into emails so I can track them in outlook as actions for myself or others. I have even scanned in my 2015, 2016 and 2017 journals to PDF and dumped them (I like the minimal lifestyle). Complication – Scanning in my journals takes time, and I have only done this at the end of the year when closing out a journal and opening a new one. If my pages were loose leaf then I could scan them in easily, in fact I could even have templates that I can fill out depending on the type of meeting. I could close out days or weeks and have my notes in digital, maybe make them searchable or at least tag topics, any handouts can be included into the scan. This would be easy then to review in a PDF reader for referencing past meetings etc. without leafing through my paper journal looking for the meeting. Resolution – But what to do? A5 vs A4 Templates, IPad holder + Notepad / Clip board or something to carry paper and notes not yet scanned / processed. Best application for reading the PDFs, OCR on the journal notes? Product to carry it all including the iPad……. As I figure it out for myself I shall update you all, but if someone has tried something similar please tell me below. If this post is in the wrong place please also let me know. Thanks! And Have a happy productive day!

    Ink Review Form

Hey guys, I made an Ink Review Form and thought I'd share it. It's 8.5" x 11" and should be printed at full size, but, it prints just find if you choose 'shrink to fit' for smaller paper sizes. It has a 1/2" border so for most printers, 100% size should work. I also made the PDF editable for the date, paper, pen and ink information fields. This is for people (like me) who enjoy fountain pens, but, can't write worth (bleep). This way, you can type out the basic details before printing and hand write the rest. If you hold your mouse over the field, it will pop up with a little more info about what the field is for. The rest I hope is pretty straight forward but, if any changes needed, just send me a message and if enough people feel the same way, I'll make some edits. Enjoy Ink Review Form (1).pdf

    Making A Journal

Hey guys... decided to take my ink review form (thread) and modify it for A4 paper (ie. Clairefontaine stationery) with space at the left for a hole punch so fits in a binder nicely. Then, make a series of matching sheets for pen reviews, nibs reviews, ink recipes, and general notes. That way I can print what I need, when I need it, and have a nice journal with a consistent look divided into sections. Then, of course, post the PDF's for people who may want them, or if I can find a place like BLURB that will print onto a good quality paper like Clairefontaine, maybe print off a limited bunch for FPN members. Just spit-ballin'.... Anyways... my point... I was hoping people could post some links of good examples, or list what they like to see on review forms and such. So far I only have experience with the ink review form. I have no idea what to include in pen or nib reviews, or what people do in their own journals. Basically, research/gathering right now. I'm browsing through the reviews online here, but, any help/feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  5. Hello, Everybody! Does anyone have a current list of Noodler's inks with their properties? There is one posted on the Noodler's website in .PDF, but it is lacking some of the more recent inks. I have replicated it by hand into an excel document to make it easily filterable and searchable. Just wondering if anyone has the properties for the inks not already represented on that list. Thanks. -_Eric
