(Buy Now) The 3.8 mm and the 6.0 mm sizes can be ordered with either 2-line or 3-line modification while the 2.4 mm is only available with a 2-line modification. 2. The Pilot Parallel is a fun calligraphy pen, but I'm not an expert in using it, and don't really use it that much these days. So I decided to give it away! I've got two of them actually, the 1.5mm and the 3.8mm version. Both are part of this giveaway. To enter, you need to: Have at least 20 posts on FPN.Write a hand-written note (maybe 4-5 sentences, but of course you can write more) about why you would like to have the Pilot Parallel and what would you do with it.Add a few words about yourself (nothing uncomfortable, though).Post the hand-written note to this thread.Indicate which one you
  3. I had a Pilot V7 needle point pen that I have no use for. Had it since forever, I never use these things. They are an ugly experience, why did they even make them? I was just messing about with some inks and decided to sacrifice 'something' to fill with a mix with unknown impact. The V7 came in the way. Onto the alter, and I plucked its head out. The poor thing was full of ink. Do I throw it away? I may hate the pen, but what's inside was for me like liquid black gold. I syringed it all out, and into the one pen that I know can probably take anything your throw at it: the pilot parallel.
  4. I have two Pilot Parallel and I have a package of 12 inks for them. I'd like to use the inks without being forced to empty a cartridge every time. For example, I could keep one pen with the main ink and switch the other one with the one I want to blend by touching the tips. Is there a way to efficiently replace cartridges without having to throw away a lot of ink? Maybe something like this https://billchance.org/2011/05/27/refilling-a-varsity/ would allow me to almost completely push back the ink from the feeder to the cartridge before taking it out. Other ideas? Edit: ops, I meant thi
  5. Z bought me a Pilot Parallel Pen with a 1.5mm nib and a con-50 converter to try it out. It works pretty well, but neither of us really likes it, and so, gentle reader, our loss is your gain :-). If you live in the Continental United States (or you live on the Big Island of Hawaii, and are willing to wait for us to hand-deliver it to you when we visit in February), and desire a chance at trying one of these pens, now is your big chance. The lucky winner of this PIF will receive one (1) clean, barely used (one day, then converter and pen were emptied and thoroughly cleaned) Pilot Parallel
  6. Hello, A while ago I started practicing italic calligraphy with a bit more dedication, and so far my go-to pen is the 3.8mm Pilot Parallel, filled with Pelikan 4001 Brillant Schwarz. I tend to use what paper I can find in the office, and this ink really helps keep the feathering/bleedthrough in check; however, I was thinking about switching to a darker ink, since the one I'm using now tends to look quite grey if I write with the very broad 3.8mm nib. Living in the EU, my options right now seem to be 3 of the Noodler's inks: Black, Heart of Darkness and X-Feather. Does anyone know how these
