Montegrappa advertises that it was founded in 1912 and is the oldest Italian pen manufacturer. Aurora advertises that it was founded in 1919 and is the oldest Italian pen manufacturer. To the subtle Italian mind there may be no contradiction here. But to me, an American, having a simple, childlike mind, there does seem to be a contradiction. Can anyone help me resolve my confusion about this?

The Montegrappa Game of Thrones Limited Edition is finally here! The Iron Throne pen is a masterpiece in a two-toned precious metal created using the lost-wax casting technique. I bought a pen the other day - a blue ringtop advertised as a Montegrappa. If it is, it goes a long way back, since demand for this design of pen went extinct in the Thirties - not unlike the very sudden extinction of the dinosaurs at the end of the Cretaceous. Has anyone ever seen one?

hey Guys, i have a chance purchasing this nice pen, which in my opinion looks just amazing. BUT! i have read lost of information here on FPN and in other reviews.. some people state it is a pistonfiller, others that it uses the converter inside (and you can not take it out or swap it). If that is true in my opinion in this case converter is the worst filling technology for the price of the pen like that. It seems quite suspicious as when you turn the knob up till the end it still sturns, and would not stop. So which one is it 1. a pistonfiller 2. a hidden converter which you just cannot take out. Oh and by the way how is the Montegrappa customer service in comparison to other companies. I had super positive service from TWSBI, especially Lamy, and Diplomat. Montegrappa launches its most awaited and exciting collection: Montegrappa Game of Thrones. The collection features four editions inspired by the four main houses in the HBO hit TV show. The Baratheon edition is coloured in charcoal black accented with contrasting yellow gold. On the clip it features a stag's head, a stag rampant on the cap's top above the motto "Our Is The Fury". The cap is decorated by a fleur-de-lis pattern. For the Lannister edition, Montegrappa has chosen yellow gold as the dominant colour. This makes the perfect contrast with its red body. A lion's head is featured on the clip, and the cap is decorated with a lion rampant above the motto "Hear Me Roar". This time a floral Tudor Rose pattern adorns the cap. The House Stark has northern origins, therefore the edition had to be in silvery-white with paladium trims conveying winter. The pattern chosen for the cap is this time a runic symbol, finishing with a direwolf's head on the pocket clip and his profile on the top of the cap above the motto "Winter is Coming". Finally, for Targaryen Montegrappa has chosen a metallic red against a coal-back background. A dragon's head forms the clip while its coils above the legend "Fire and Blood" is featured on the caps top. The cap is decorated with a filigree pattern. Montegrappa doesn't offer a huge variety of inks. It seems they have four colors at the moment. Black Blue Bordeaux TurquoiseRecently I've got a bottle of Turquoise. The bottle looks nice. The ink behaves well and can be described as saturated turquoise that doesn't lean too much into cyan scale. It doesn't cause any feathering or bleedthrough and may be recommended to turquoises fans.
