Massdrop is offering a Wedgewood metal pen with a chocolate colored covering, and it looks very dignified. Features a lifetime guarantee, gold plated nib in medium, and a gift box. It should be a good writer, and it's a lovely color. Only 7 days left, and only a couple of commits needed to get the lowest price of $84.99, against a MSRP of $160. Postage, as usual, is very inexpensive, at $2.73 to me in MA. I couldn't resist the color, and I like the ribbing on the body. The chrome accents look great against the rich chocolate color. Comes with a gift box. Looking forward to giving it a write, maybe while eating a piece of candy....

Recently, Massdrop offered the large yellow Toledo with sterling binde. There were only a few pens available, and the discount was not that great, so there were no takers. What got my attention was the viciousness of the comments directed at those who might purchase an expensive pen. You might have thought they were sans-culottes storming the Bastille or Bolsheviks out for the blood of the Tsar. Their attitude seems to be, "If I can't afford it, nobody should buy it." I'd hate to see their reaction if they encountered one of the Make-e versions. You can bet that Massdrop won't be offering anything this nice anytime soon. Stipula had discontinued production of the Passaporto. Massdrop members showed sufficient interest (800 people!) in this model that Stipula agreed to a special run, if enough folks commit. (I have committed to 3, if the lowest price is achieved.) Note that Stipula will produce the "original" version with steel threads and a threaded end for posting (like the FPN LE). 3 colors and various nibs, including a 0.9mm italic, are available. It just occurred to me ... I've not seen anything like group buy in India. Massdrop is a big hit abroad.... and great deals are generally available.... Has such thing happened in India? If not why not lets start this .... and give it a try.... Hopefully this will help..... We can certainly vote for certain items, a fountain pen, pen case, or inks....??
