  2. Someone is selling this beautiful limited edition pen on eBay for US $178,888.00 In 2010 one was sold by Bonhams for US$ 13,420 inc. premium. Does anyone think they will actually find someone who will overpay this pen for 160.000 dollars? If the answer is yes and there really are idiots like that around I may just take a punt and put one of my P51 on eBay for $4,888.00. I am interested in what you think.
  3. I'm looking for a place to buy the above inks - but cannot find any on any of the usual EU or US sites. Any info appreciated - the gray inks look interesting. Apologies if this is the wrong place to post the topic. Yours, Roger
  4. Here is my Montblanc rotation team (The Oscar Wilde is visiting Germany due to piston issues). The one that have gotten more use over the years is the Agatha, followed by the 149 and Dumas. Jose

1 Pen Case For Mb Le's?

Hi, I've been looking to buy a pen case for my Carlo Collodi edition & Gaius edition but I'm finding it difficult to get a case that suitable for such thick pens. My budget is 50$ as I've already spent money on the aston 2 pen case - but the pen doesn't go in smoothly and fits very tight (I'm scared it might discolour the pen) Would anyone have any recommendations? I was thinking of the Franklin-Christoph 1 pen case, but it says max diameter is 0.75" which is pretty much the same as the carlo collodi's width. http://www.franklin-christoph.com/1-2-3-pen-cases.html Thanks for your help!
  6. Matthieu Faivet is a talented french craftsman, always aiming to higher achievements, and getting better and better at his craft. He is Based in Alsace, land of mountains. http://www.faivet.net/ Patrick C. is a french nibmaster living in sunny south-ouest of France. Patrick designed it, Matthieu crafted it. Only 20 The Original Ubik Limited Edition were made The Ubik comes in a burned pinewood box, with a 30ml ink bottle of an beautiful exclusive anthracite grey, created by l'Artisan Pastelier (Califolio inks), for this LImited Edition. The contrast between the box and the Ubik is striking: - one represents sturdiness, strengh, robstness, the other utterly sober elegance. However, these contrasts are, in fact, the caracteristics of the Ubik altogether. The Ubik is "dressed" in an elegant black material, and Matthieu keeps the secret it, which increases the mistery attached to this pen. The roll stopper is a watch winder, coordonated with the 18K gold Bock XF nib (you can chose between Gold, Steel and Titanium nibs - all Bock). As the eponymous book, the Ubik creates surprise, amazement, wondering. The Ubik is an enigma: it looks like wood, it sounds like wood while beeing uncaped, but... no, it is not wood. The touching of this pen is a ravishing one, and our fingers remember it even once we have put the Ubik to rest: a powedered touch, amazingly soft, undetectable, and above suspicion, when you look at it. Technical details: Length - when closed - 13,20cm Length - when opened, nib included - 12, 40cm Cap's length - 6 cm Nib's length - 2, 30 cm Diameter - 1,4 cm Section diameter - 1,1 cm Uncaping - 5 turns Meet the 01/20 of the Original Ubik - Limited Edition, by Matthieu Faivet. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/661/NpLZyp.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/901/o9THS4.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/905/VN7uoH.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/910/Dr2BEQ.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/537/1LwH6z.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/538/kprmbq.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/901/mP154M.jpg The Ubik's crash test video Matthieu has done with no special effects, or tricks. Daniel Defoe Vs Gaius Maecenas

Hi All, This is my first post on the forums but I've been reading the posts since a long time! Really nice information available & friendly members! I'm planning to buy my first montblanc & i've shortlisted my options to 2 : Daniel Defoe & Gaius Maecenas. I'm taking my time to choose because I'll not be buying another montblanc for some years after buying one of these. I think both pens are beautiful. (My girlfriend says that the Gaius is a bit feminine, especially the white laquer) Any suggestions / opinions between the two pens?

    Limited Edition Parker?

I have recently found a fountain Parker pen my dad gave me years ago. I decided today I wanted to know what model my pen was and a little bit about it or if there is any history. Since searching the Internet the closest thing I can find is a limited edition blue marble centennial pen however I wondered if anyone could help identify the pen and conferm my guess or not. I have two of the pens both are fountain and have screw caps. I would also like to know why one of the nibs has become discoloured and if there is anything I can do. Thank you and any advise is much appreciated

Sailor Le Kop " 4 Seasons Under The Stars" !

In 2012 Sailor presented the first pen of a marvellous series “Four Seasons under the Stars” which was only released in Europe ! The depicted scenery on the pens is based on etched and printed images of the Shin Hanga movement with interpretations of the four seasons during night time ! The Artist Ikki Moroiki did a wonderful job in turning these designs into some wonderful Maki-e. The pens are executed in Taka-Maki-e, Shishiai-Togidashi Maki-e and enriched with different other techniques like raden, kirigane, …. Sailor KOP LE 28 pcs – KOP – 21kt gold nib M or B Each pens wears on the cap a constellation typical for the particular season in Europe. Orion for winter, the Triagulum for spring and the Polar Star, Big Bear and the Cassiopeia constellations for Autumn. The last pen of this series “Summer under the Stars” will be released …. this summer ! Each pen is packed in a plain wooden box which keeps the price of the pen moderate if you consider the extensive techniques that have been used. There are a few numbers left of each released pen and only one full set of “4 Seasons under the Stars” can be completed by the end of this summer. If interested contact Catherine at The SFPG. The “4 Seasons under the Stars” fountain pens are limited on 28 pcs ww and made on Sailor KOP with 21kt gold nib in M or B. http://www.sakurafountainpengallery.com/en/fpngallery/gallery-detail/spring-under-the-stars http://www.sakurafountainpengallery.com/en/fpngallery/gallery-detail/autumn-under-the-stars http://www.sakurafountainpengallery.com/en/fpngallery/gallery-detail/winter-under-the-stars
  12. Hi guys, I've recently obtained a Montblanc ballpoint pen and have been trying to find information on it but can find next to nothing. The instrument I have is known as 'Mont Blanc pour Vacheron Constantin' ball point pen and I was wondering if any one has any information on it and can help me value it? http://image.invaluable.com/housePhotos/Tajan/00/325500/H0965-L40251076.jpg
  13. At our latest meeting of the Vancouver Pen Club in Vancouver, BC, Canada, we were delighted with the work of three of our members in creating and delivering and exceptional limited edition fountain pen from Italian masters: Delta Pen. The intrepid Glenn Marcus, Perks Pens owner Richard Clarke, and Maja Furlong conspired long and hard to make this a reality: Vancouver Pen Club's first limited edition member's pen. The VPC Delta Dolcevita is a piston filling celluloid fountain pen in brown marble with gold accents and a Delta Fusion nib. Mine is a broad stub. The celluloid was a leftover from the Caruso series (hence the name), and was, I believe just enough to complete the order of 25 numbered pens. It's a rich brown with lustrous, almost golden marbling. The gold trim beautifully accents the body, and the roller clip and VPC crown just take it over the top. The Delta Fusion nib is a steel nib with and 18k solid gold overlay, making it a real stunner to the eye and an absolute beauty on the page. Like silk on skin it caresses the paper with a lightness that's almost imperceptible. The piston filling system has a ratchet that subtly informs you when you reach the maximum stroke. Other pens often have no ratchet; leaving you to guess (sometimes treacherously), or have a ratchet that screams at you like a wounded crow. Weight and balance are in perfect sync and it measures out at a respectable 140x12mm, capped. Unfortunately, this was a one time, very limited buy; so you won't see these on the market but Delta is still making the Dolcevita with the Fusion nib in many incarnations and I only hope you get to spend one warm spring evening with one of these beauties and a ream of good paper.

    What The "gap" Is This?!

I recently became the proud owner of a LE pen made by Visconti. However, I was dismayed that I got one of the (seemingly innumerable) pens that slipped passed their QC. I have a gap between the barrel and section - not large, not small - just big enough to be a visual blot on the landscape. You know the deal; a small imperfection that, once noticed, can never be forgotten. My question is: is there a filling material I could apply to fill in the space? Should I take it to a jeweler and see what they say? Should I send it back to Visconti and hope I get it back in the next year? Naturally I recognize it's a small thing but I paid a fair amount of doubloons for this thing, confound it! Any advice and info would be appreciated wholeheartedly. F

Each pen is numbered, 1/5, 2/5, 3/5, 4/5, or 5/5. We have already sold some so they wont last long. http://www.penchalet.com/images/specialedition/IMG_0602.jpg http://www.penchalet.com/images/specialedition/IMG_0608.jpg http://www.penchalet.com/images/specialedition/IMG_0610.jpg
  18. There's a guy offering me a couple of Safari's "Limited Edition" black and white pens that according to him were bought in 2008 or so. However, I just can quite find the difference between those and the current editions. Anyone knows what should I be looking for?
  19. September 19-20 is the 6th anniversary celebration for Phidon Pens Limited in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. We are offering 30% off all in-store merchandise (excluding RIMOWA cases) for these two days only. We are also bringing in a few higher-end limited edition pens for those two days only which will be included in the sale. There will be a draw (ballot with purchase) for a gift basket of merchandise from the store. Thank-you to the pen community for supporting us for six great years!
  20. Hello Lamy fans, Just found a local source that has limited stock of Safari Apple Green ($70), Safari Neon Yellow ($60) and Al-Star black ($120). They had some Silvergreen and Pearl Al-Stars when I arrived there today, but I guy took them all just a minute after I came in. Arrrgggghhh!! Anyway, the store doesn't have an online venue but I offer myself to buy the pens for you and send them away in whatever mail carrier you prefer. BTW all pens are delivered in this gorgeous box, not the cardboard one, so its another plus!
  21. Hi All, We have only one remaining Visconti Homo Sapiens Crystal Swirl fountain pen in our stock left ... and it is not without reason, because it is somewhat of a "difficult" pen by appearance. As you can see on the picture below, the barrel is almost a full demonstrator, except for one swirl (and because of it's appearance it is different than the official Visconti product photos). This may not be to anyone's liking and that's why have come up with the following: this particular pen will be auctioned and sold to the highest bidder, please PM me or send an email to info@lacouronneducomte.nl with your bid and you may be the winner. Please note that we have an auction minimum in mind. The pen will come in it's original box, with certificate and with any nib to your liking. All the best, Dennis La Couronne du Comte
  22. Greetings everyone! Pelikan has launched a new model of the collection Maki-e, and we are very glad to share it with all of you. The Japanese artist Shozo Nakamura painted this fountain pen and we can see how well he captured the essence of the painting he was inspired in (”The great wave of Kanagawa” by Hokusai Katsushika), with the glittering water of the curling wave on the barrel. It is made of tiny pieces of mother-of-pearl and egg shell, and to complete the seaside feeling, the cap is decorated with two Japanese traditional kites and plover birds that swoop over the waves. This is a limited edition of 88 fountain pens of 18 carat bi-color gold nibs. Take a look and contact us if you like it!

  25. It's official, the Pilot Capless 2013 limited edition fountain pen will be available from November! All Capless limited editions are special, but what makes the 2013 version even more so, is that it's also the 50th anniversary of the Capless fountain pen in Japan! Made from Maple wood and gold trim, the 2013 Capless also comes stylishly packaged in a luxurious matching wooden box. The 2013 Capless will certainly live up to its limited edition title, as only 900 of these pens will be available worldwide, but don't worry you can pre-order yours from us today. The higher cost involved with producing a pen from Maple Wood and the smaller number of pens available increases the exclusive nature of this edition. http://www.cultpens.com/acatalog/Pilot-Capless-Maple-LE.jpg What do you think of the 2013 Limited Edition?
