    Bottles To Decant Ink Into

I have some pretty but unusable( due to the neck aperture being too narrow) inks, which I want to decant into a usable bottle, preferably one thing at least a wee bit aesthetically pleasing, and saw this, and wondered if anyone had one, and if so, if it's good for this purpose.... And any other suggestions about bottles very welcome.... Here's the one I saw(it's listed as Pewter Swan Ink Bottle by Coles Calligraphy) Any other sources for similar? Im in UK, and need to buy online....and my ideal would have a cat on it. Thanks Alex
  2. Various people including myself have had good luck with buying replacement lids for our vintage Sheaffer ink bottles from BottleSolutions.com, but they've been taken over by Pipeline Packaging, a similar company in the same city, it looks like the relevant link for jar lids is this although the parts numbers don't seem to have stayed the same so I can't really make any promises: https://www.pipelinepackaging.com/closures BottleSolutions.com was the old site but it redirects to a post announcing the takeover, and I'm not quite sure how to shop on the Packaging Pipeline site, they may need to be called or something instead of having an online storefront. Here's a post with information on the exact sizes in case anyone wants to try and find another source for lids! https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/topic/144091-old-sheaffer-ink-pots/page-2?do=findComment&comment=2689299

    Sealing Holes On A Lid

Hi, i've a vintage lid which has 2 holes left from a missing clip. Now, since the lit has not a inner cap, i want to seal them to prevent leaks of ink.. any suggestion of how to proceed? The lid's plastic is black, by the way.. Another question: there are other problems i could have due to the lack of a inner cap?

    Waterman Lid Problem

I have had this Waterman Expert? for about 10/15 years. Needless to say I absolutely love it. However, while at a meeting last week, without thinking, I unscrewed the lid rather than pulling it off. I was horrified when the lid came apart in my hand. As you can see from the attached photo the problem I now have it putting this all back together. Has anyone had a similar problem? If so is this something I can fix myself - or do I need to send it to the Waterman agents and face the undoubtedly expensive repair bill? Thanks for any suggestions
