  1. Hi my hobby friends! A few months ago I finished the restoration of a Sheaffer Balance Oversize in black and pearl like this one. After resacking, full cleaning and so on I filled it with ink (Edelstain Pelikan Garnet and Pelikan 4001 black&Blue in other occasion). When I opened the cap at the next day I noticed that the top of the section was fulled of wet ink. It's important to say that after filled the pen, I drop out a few drops of inks and clean the excess of ink in the feed, as always do. This problem is consistent: that happened a few times already. Other
  2. From the album: Assorted pens

This was what was observed during cleaning one day, which then prompted me to test all of my FPR Himalaya pens for the same issue — and they proved to all be flawed in this way, so I guess it's not an accident or just one dud unit I happened to get.

My FPR Himalaya pens have leaky caps

    From the album: Assorted pens

I think this goes to show the FPR Himalaya pens are not designed or made to provide an airtight seal when capped.

  4. Hey There! So I have been using my Kaweco Sport Medium for several weeks and it has of a sudden started leaking from the feed - I think - the section and the inside of the cap (cap esp.) have ink on them when I open it up. I went with the eye dropper fill but not sure how that could be the issue - JIC I cleaned and re-filled to no avail. I did push the nib into the feed CAREFULLY from the sides and felt like there was a bit of a gap - but the leaking continues. Not an expensive pen but I love how it writes and this leaking business is ruining the experience! Don't know alot about Kaweco
  5. After tweeking and messing around with my numerous Noodler pens for far to long, I have finally found the issue with them that causes ink to be found in the cap, and fixed it!!!! So the issue is that some of the feeds used in these pens have feeds that are too narrow which allows ink to pool on the barrel wall and eventually drip out. After trying heat setting and other not very useful methods, I found the simplest and easiest way to elevate this issue. TEFLON TAPE. You take some of the Teflon tape, and wrap it around the feed (without the nib on it) once or twice, align the nib with the fe

    Leaky Sailor 1911

Somehow my 1911 has pulled ink inside of the section while sitting in my pen case, and is quite obvious as it's a demonstrator. So far I have had no luck getting the ink out. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated http://i.imgur.com/UAXIY29.jpg
