  1. i was looking for something, when I came upon this article... I found it to be an interesting read... with points of view from someone knowledgeable... hope everyone enjoys it as well article--- paper trail good day Vikram
  2. I recently purchased 3 inkwells through Ebay. All under $10 which surprised me except for the small one without a lid(which I am seeking if anyone knows the maker of it and may have a spare). I am just wondering if anyone knows anything about these. I will post information directly from the Ebay listings in quotation marks to hopefully give some clues. 1 - The one with missing lid - "It measures about 2 1/2" square and about 2 1/4' high. It glows a light green under a black light which I believe makes it from the early 1900's." 2 - Ornate Inkwell with crystal inkwell container. "Solid brass inkwell. Four footed swirled leaf and vine design with square glass ink reservoir. Measures 7" long x 5" wide x 2" tall. Glass reservoir measures 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" and has a 1 1/2" solid brass cap." 3 - The dark more bulky inkwell with ceramic insert. "EARLY METAL FLORAL DESIGN GERMAN INKWELL WITH CERAMIC INSERT SIGNED HP. GERMAN INKWELL SIGNED WITH AN "HP" ON BOTTOM AND THE PLACE WHERE IT WAS MADE, GERMANY. THERE IS A CRACK ON ONE OF THE LEGS, AND I TRIED TO SHOW IT AS WELL AS I COULD IN THE PHOTOS. THE CERAMIC INSERT IS ORIGINAL. IT IS 4" LONG - 3 1/4" WIDE AND 1 3/4" TALL. THERE IS A FLORAL DESIGN ON TOP AND AROUND INKWELL. "

Help Me Identify This Cross Inkwell!

Hi fellow FPN'ers, Does anyone of you guys know what kind of model this Cross inkwell is, and probably the history? I think the cap is made of 18ct (14ct?) gold and the bottle of glass (?) The weight of the inkwell is 700 grams, so very heavy! The inkwell had a price tag of 395 euro and was found in a closet in our office, nobody knows how its ended up there! Thanks for the comments!

    Vintage Mont Blanc Inkwell

Hi there, I'm new to this forum, so apologies if I'm posting in the wrong section etc. I've found an old Mont Blanc inkwell (I think it's called 'Shoe'?) that I'm looking to sell. Any idea what this item might be worth? I've got no knowledge about ink or Mont Blanc at all, so any help would be very much appreciated! Thanks in advance, N.
