  1. Hi, I was pretty happy with my new Pelikan M805 Stresemann (my second M800 - I couldn't resist the grey stripes!!). But very unfortunately it has developed some nasty stains, apparently *within* the walls of the barrel. I've attached a photo that shows the problem. This is a *completely full* pen. If they were regular ink stains, then I don't think that they would be visible with a filled barrel. This is only the 3rd time I've ever filled the pen. And the only ink I've ever used is Aurora Black!!! Weirdly the ink seems to creep up in the celluloid material..? You can see that especially at the base of the barrel, where it meets the black section. Frustrating... I got the pen for a good price from Cult Pens, and did email them about this, but have never gotten any response. Would much appreciate your advice! Has anyone ever witnessed anything similar?
  2. I don't know whether I should put this here or in the repairs forum, but here goes. My much loved and previously pristine Swan Calligraph Prefect from about 1953 suffered an ink burp and I can't get the stains off it. I tried a very diluted ammonia solution. Less dilute? A light alcohol? Any help appreciated!
  3. Hello FPNers, I am seeking some help/advice. I recently acquired a new Conway Stewart 22 with, generally, no discoloration. However, it appears that at some point in time, ink has seeped under the celluloid between the section and the barrel and left a very small stain. Knowing the 22's aversion to water, I am concerned about attempting any type of cleaning. Thoughts or suggestions? -Propman-
  4. I have a Noodler's Creaper non-flex demonstrator and I had Noodler's Squeteague in it. I have cleaned the pen and tried soaking it in bleach and also soaking it with denture tablets, but the stain will not come out. Is there anything else I can do to remove the stain?
