  1. A while ago, I picked up an Aurora button filler on Ebay for a good price (it came from Romania if that's relevant), which was listed as a Selene, though it quickly became clear it wasn't. It is a huge button filler -almost 17cm from top of jewel to tip of nib, very thick, and with a good heft to it, easily the biggest vintage pen I've seen in person. It is entirely without any markings or imprints I can find, apart from the marking for a #5 Platiridio nib. I don't know anything much about Auroras, anybody know much about it? FWIW, the nib is very flexible, the body is celluloid while the blind cap and section seem to be ebonite. Does anyone know the model name, or of any similar pens, as well as a general figure for value? I feel like I may have seen something vaguely similar listed as a "business pen" or something, but can't find anything now. Pictures: https://imgur.com/a/VLo9GLn
  2. Hello! This is my first post so I figured it might as well be a cry for help. I picked this up at the flea market and have been fixing it up. I can't figure out what it is, though. Any help identifying this pen would be greatly appreciated! The clip is missing and the nib is unbranded. The only marking is an A on the spoon lever... All I can figure is the era, late 20's early 30's... The nib it came with was missing the tipping material so I've swapped in a flexible Wahl nib for the time being (fun). Thanks for the help! Daniel
  3. Hello All, I have recently come across this fabulous looking fountain pen. However i am not having much luck in researching its history / identifying / valuing this pen. This seems to be a early / rare Conklin. My trail so far: The pen is stamped The Crescent Pen, but after looking at Conklin Crescent Pens on Google and Ebay this didn't seem right. Spotted a similar finish on a All American reptilian however there is no plunger. So this has pushed me down the endura route, but now I'm back the the start scratching my head. Can anyone help!!?? I am looking to sell this pen on in the near future, so your community wealth of knowledge would be most helpful and i would be most grateful. Many Thanks
  4. Hello pen experts. I have this fountain pen that I need your expert knowledge to help me identify with the year, model and if possible, the value. The pen's body has the engraving, "Caran D'Ache Gold Plated G" - Not sure what G means. The nib says 18C - 750 B - Not sure what 750 or B mean. The nib also has a number engraved inside above the screw 255816 - Not sure what this number is. http://i.imgur.com/ekXU4R8.jpg http://i.imgur.com/WExpnxE.jpg http://i.imgur.com/6Z3BYhX.jpg http://i.imgur.com/UwvMaJm.jpg http://i.imgur.com/cRvR3l9.jpg http://i.imgur.com/idw0v6u.jpg http://i.imgur.com/7gHoGPS.jpg Thanks Hossam

    Help Identifying Montblanc

Hello all I've found a montblanc which I can't find much info on It has a 4810 on the body as well as the NIB | The end marking has a 122K | there is D.R.P. 508058 on the body | It is marked as a montblanc masterpiece | There is a pen included in the set with a 58 marked on the body The closest I could find is a Montblanc 122k set, ca 1935 however that is marked with a meisterstuck. There is a album of images on imgur https://imgur.com/a/kl3bx If anyone has any info or prices I would greatly appreciate it.

    Identification Help?

Does anyone here know what this pens model name is by any chance? I bought it a long time ago and completely forgot I had it. Thanks in advance for any help.
  7. Are these two pens among of the many versions of the Ogiva? The only barrel imprint is these three words in a row: "Omas Extra Italy." I'm not at all well informed about Omas pens, but I was guessing the 1980's, give or take, and that these are pretty low end, as far as Omas pens go. Anyone know anything about them, like what the material is, or what they might be worth paying for nowadays to use as knock around (to and from the office) writers? Some of you are bound to know, but I'd appreciate even a somewhat informed guess.
  8. I recently purchased and restored this beautiful piston filler, and I'm trying to learn some information about it. The only markings on the entire pen are "Favorit" on the cap, and "Warranted Wing Flow" on the nib. While doing some research on "Favorit", I came across Lamy's Artus Favorit pen, and there are definitely some similarities here: the clip shape, and the piston mechanism's glued on cork. My best thought is that this is some kind of knock off, but the quality of the materials and build make me think that this is more than just a copy. Does anyone have any thoughts or perhaps any experience with a similar pen? http://i.imgur.com/4eBJ1INl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/PNyhvj4l.jpg http://i.imgur.com/waAuH9zl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/BJdabXAl.jpg

    Delta Idendification

Hi everyone. I'm hoping someone more experienced than me can help me out here. I recently picked up what I believe to be a Delta pen in a local thrift store. It's in fantastic condition but I cannot find any information about the model or year it might have been from. Can anyone help me identify it? Pics are below but here's a litte more info: It's an extremely slim pen and has a Waterman Mini Lady ink cartridge inside. There is a "D" logo on the top of the cap and the bottom of the cap says "Delta." There are no markings at all on the nib. Any ideas? I've tried posting in various Facebook groups and I even sent the pics and a message to Delta but have had no luck identifying this pen so far. Thanks everyone!
  10. I got this pen as gift from my grandpa awhile ago when he was diagnosed with stage IV lunge cancer. He sadly passed away after a long and tough fight . I was hoping anyone here could possibly identify which Parker pen is this and how much it's worth . There are 2 pens one ballpoint and the other is a fountain pen. They are both made in France as written on them . One has the letters A I and the other has the letters A L. Apparently this means it was produced in 1982 . However I can't identify which model is it , whether it's a Parker 75 Perle or a Parker 180 Vendome perle . Any help would be appreciated! http://imgur.com/a/hbLJw
  11. I have been given this pen as a leaving gift from my work team! I was wondering if anyone could tell me what it is? A Sheaffer obviously, but what kind? I am still such a newbie, so all I can say is "pretty"! Not to look a gift pen in the nib, but just for informative purposes!

    Parker Centennial Prototype

So first post and I've got something a bit out of the ordinary to ask, which so far is proving a bit of a challenge for me. I bought a slightly odd looking Parker Centennial on ebay a few days ago (I'll include the link at the bottom). From the photos it looked like a normal black Mk1 Centennial, but with a few things wrong with it the two main ones being the clip seemed to be of the original Duofold ball ended type, and the nib also appeared to be of a similar vintage. I thought that it might be cobbled together from old parts, or a custom job, but as it wasn't selling for much I put in a bid almost out of curiosity to just see what the thing was! Well it arrived today and the plot has only thickened, for starters it is very well put together, better than all but the best custom makers could mange, the clip also doesn't look quite right for a vintage one, the font is ever so slightly different. However the biggest enigma came in that the section does not unscrew! Despite some careful determination on my part it doesn't come undone, and indeed I am convinced it isn't supposed to. So the question I end up at is what is this? I have done a bit of my own research, but haven't found much, apart from this: http://www.heritagecollectables.com/parker-centennial/ which lists something similar as a prototype. However given the price they're asking and the amount mine cost I'm not sure if that could really be the case. If anyone had any ideas please do tell me, I'm going mad for want of knowing what this thing is! Link to the listing on ebay: RARE VINTAGE PARKER DUOFOLD MADE IN CANADA FOUNTAIN PEN IN BLACK | eBay
  13. Hello, my father was cleaning out his attic and discovered a pen, which he thought had belonged to me when a student. He gave it to my son and I became suspicious when I tried to fill it with ink and saw it had an unusual piston type mechanism which I wasn't familiar with. I've done a bit of research and believe it to be a Montblanc. This is certainly possible since my parents have boxes of letters, photographs etc. belonging to ancestors, some of whom would have been able to afford a Montblanc pen! I haven't taken any photos as yet but found this on Pinterest and the pen I have looks pretty much identical, although my pen requires cleaning as the nib has a lot of ink residue on it http://www.pinterest.com/pin/158611218102225278/ Other distinguishing features are what looks like the number 135 on the very bottom of the pen, 652405 (I think) on the next section of the pen up from this. The barrel looks the same as the one in the link picture when held up to the light (browny black with a ridged pattern). The cap has the Montblanc 'star' logo on the top with the words Montbland - Meisterstuck above the thin gold band at the top of the clip. The nib, which is in need of cleaning as I mentioned, has a faint pattern on it which I believe to be the same as the one in the link picture. Do you think this is a genuine Montblanc? Is it a rare model? If so, where would you recommend we take it to get it cleaned/valued? I don't want to send it back to Germany as I'm concerned it may become lost in transit. I've always wanted a Montblanc fountain pen, couldn't believe my luck! Thanks for your help.

I'm praying that it is a Vermeil instead.
  16. Hello! I bought a Sheaffer just today at an antique market, for $40 CAD. I have no idea what model it is, and how to fill or restore it. Here a description on what I can find/see so far: There's a white dot on top of the clip, and a gold jeweller's band on the cap Pen is made out of green-striped plastic (is it celluloid or just rubber?) A two-tone nib with a heart-ish breather hole that says "Sheaffer's Made in Canada 14K-585" Writing on the barrel says "W.A. Sheaffer Pen Co. (Of Canada LTD) Malton, Ont. Made in Canada" The back/end tip can be unscrewed, but it can only be extended a very short distance. I thought at first it was a snorkel, but there's no metal tube elongating out of it so now I have no idea what it is. Here's a few pics:
  17. Hi, I got this pencil some time ago, and until now still haven't been able to identify it... At first I thought this was a Pilot Birdie, but I can't find another Birdie that looks like this online, and it does have several major differences from the typical Birdie. The most obvious being the size and grip rings. I don't actually have a Birdie, but from the pics I've seen, this seems to be thicker and longer too, but still smaller than the usual pencil, as seen compared to a TK-Matic. It has an all metal construction, including the lead reservoir. I don't know about the chucks though, because the front end cap seems to be non-removable, is this the case with Birdies too? The lead sleeve is very short and is fixed. These machined grip rings are something I've never seen on Birdie, and so is the clip, which is very solid and seems to be made out of 3 separate pieces, and of a more heavily brushed stainless steel. They are supposed to be new, but somehow I think they seem to look kinda old? Any info would be much appreciated , since the seller said that he has lost the packaging. Though he did say they come in one of those multi packs, so no separate box for each pencil. There are no markings whatsoever on the pencil other than "Pilot 0.5 Japan"
  18. Hello there!! Hopefully some might be able to help me with an ID of my Waterman My mother bought it YEARS ago, and I just found it after going through storage. I know it's worth something, but I'm having a problem identifying the *exact* model. There are similar pens around, but they are much thinner and shorter because they've all got #2 nibs, and this one has a #10. I've written to Waterman, but have yet to hear anything. I have seen other eyedroppers, but they do not have the overlay. Apparently, according to one guy, there were only 3 made in this era? Who knows if that's correct. Sincerely can't find any information on this one- or maybe I just don't know/can't find where to look? Here are the characteristics: - Thick/fat body and cap - 6.5" long - Warn off "20" with a circle on the base of the body - Hard Rubber body and cap (probably black before, now looks dark chocolate) - Sterling Silver overlay - Trefoil Vine pattern (1907-1923) - "Waterman's Ideal Fountain Pen" and "Sterling." engraved (crookedly) on silver - Clip Cap on lower half of cap (not in middle like on other, shorter similar pens) - "Clip-Cap; Sterling; IDEAL; PAT Sep. 26.05" engraved - Nib #10 - "Waterman's; IDEAL; Reg US; Pat. Off.; 10; Made In; USA" engraved If anyone could help me regarding this model of pen, it would be greatly appreciated!

    What Is This Sheaffer?

Hi I'd really appreciate your help in identifying this Sheaffer! I've not come across this type before, and would like to know if it's a oddity before replacing the white dot! Many thanks Jon
  21. Hey pen friends, Yesterday I found this werid persian slipper with pens in it, and it also has two of these parker pens in it. The label says: series 13, paquié, 503 euro. But I really tried to google it and I couldn't find anything like it, so Im thinking the label is incorrect?? Can you help me out?
  22. I'm getting this as part of a lot. It doesn't look like a fountain pen... I'm not even sure if it can be refilled..
  23. I've asked the seller to send me more photos (and I will post more photos if I get the eventually) but this is the only one we have right now. The seller is not a pen person and so cannot identify. I spot what looks like a Parker IM, a Platinum or Pilot Desk Pen, and Platinum long-short pocket pens, but the rest are unfamiliar. The Long-short pens are the ones that caught my eye and my primary consideration for pursuing this sale, so any comments on quality, maintenance/restoration, specific model number, and other details will be most appreciated. Thanks!
  24. Hi friends, I am hoping for some help identifying this Sailor pen that I got as a graduation gift last year. It seems to be made from resin and has the 1911 14k nib. I'm not familiar with Sailor pens at all. This was bought in Japan (if it makes a difference). I currently don't have a converter in this pen, and I'm wondering which Sailor converter to use with this pen as it's quite short in length. Thanks in advance!

    Parker Pen Help

Hello Fountain Pen Network! This is my first post and I was hoping to receive some help identifying and valuing some Parker pens I recently received. Now, I know this is the "Fountain" Pen Network for a reason, but my pens are ballpoints. I currently have three ballpoint Parker pens I would like to have valued and 1 of them is not an Insignia. I have no clue what it is, so I would like help identifying it. The two I know about are a Parker Insignia ballpoint pen in the Athenes finish and 1 in the Sterling Silver finish. Both have Parker emblems/badges on them and I was wondering how this affects the rareness or value of the pens. I'll have all three pens in pictures below. Please help and thanks you for any future responses!
