I saw this pen on eBay a year or so back and just barely lost the auction. I am particularly drawn to this maki-e design. I've been looking since but have never seen another. It probably doesn't help that I was never able to learn the official name of the pen as it was not included in the listing. If anyone knows anything more, I'd really appreciate any information. Thanks!

I picked up this tier three pen some months ago on Ebay because of the art deco look it has and because...well I have no other excuse. Besides, do I need one? Anyway, when I received it the pressure bar and sac were shot but the visulated section was quite clear (the pen is inked in the photo) so I coaxed the pen apart, replaced both and got it writing again. It actually is a smooth writing pen but now I'm curious to know who might have made it and when, The only educated guess that I'm willing to make (and maybe I'm not right on this) is that the pen was made sometime in the 1930s...then again maybe during WWII? Who knows? There is no branding mark on the pen body that I can find but the lever does appear to have the letter "P" on it. In addition, the nib is labeled, "DUROPOINT 14KT GOLD PLATE," the gold plating having said adios bye-bye decades ago. My hope is that someone on the FPN has seen this pen before or one like it and knows who might have made it and when. Thanks, Cliff

What Model Is This Parker. Identification Of Parker Fountain Pen And Ballpen
Lodzermensch posted a topic in Parker
What is the name/model of this Parker fountain pen and ballpen? ... -
I'm not new to vintage pens, but I don't own any watermans or safety fillers. I noticed this pen on auction site. It is workig condition and has F nib, bit stubbish I would say. So I would really like the nib. But I'm bit hessitant, because price is higher that what I usually pay for my vintage pens, and it is auction starting price is 100 euros (115 dollars) (but usually there is no-one else bidding...). What model this actually is? It is marked as Waterman 42, but I don't trust sellers. How hard are these safety fillers to maintain and restore? How easily they leak? Can they be used as everyday carry? Photos are bit small, they are provided by the seller. Color seems to bit faded. Is pen made of hard rubber? I just can't stand smell of hard rubber, so that would be huge bummer. All info is welcome, it helps me to make well, more educated buy and not regretting it later.

[Pen Identification] Help Identifying This Rollerball?
MoistWaffle posted a topic in It Writes, But It Is Not A Fountain Pen ....
Hi all, This rollerball was my dad's and he used to write with it quite a bit. There's no branding in it. I don't know how old it is, but my dad passed away 6 years ago and there's still a hauser bill 707 sf in it. I'd venture to guess it's mid-to-late 90s. He wasn't much of a pen guy, but he enjoyed writing with this one. I don't know much about rollerball pens. It looked like a Waterman to me, but I can't find it. Any help would really be appreciated! Thank you! Edit: More photos may be found here https://imgur.com/a/WL30bvk Edit 2: It was gifted to him in the late 90s while we were living in Russia. My mom thinks she recalls it being a Parker, but isn't sure.- 2 replies

A while ago, I picked up an Aurora button filler on Ebay for a good price (it came from Romania if that's relevant), which was listed as a Selene, though it quickly became clear it wasn't. It is a huge button filler -almost 17cm from top of jewel to tip of nib, very thick, and with a good heft to it, easily the biggest vintage pen I've seen in person. It is entirely without any markings or imprints I can find, apart from the marking for a #5 Platiridio nib. I don't know anything much about Auroras, anybody know much about it? FWIW, the nib is very flexible, the body is celluloid while the blind cap and section seem to be ebonite. Does anyone know the model name, or of any similar pens, as well as a general figure for value? I feel like I may have seen something vaguely similar listed as a "business pen" or something, but can't find anything now. Pictures: https://imgur.com/a/VLo9GLn

Greetings enthusiastic FP network community! I am new here, began collecting from around 3-4 years ago. Ever since I didn't really put much thought into taking my hobby up a notch until now. I recently just got a Parker 51 vacumatic from an antiques store for the equivalent of about $70. But what really weirded me out was me not being able to identify it's variant, as I couldn't find any similar pen to it on google so far. I thought maybe someone can help me out and give me more information about it and if I had a good deal? Information about the FP : It's vacumatic, 14K gold filled, and has ".7." written on the barrel. I am not sure which colour it's in, but I am assuming it's either Mustard, Yellowstone or Buckskin beige.

Is it possible to get an ID on this Platinum pen? It looks like a pocket pen but it is not, the cap and the barrel are about as long and this one seems to fit a regular converter. TIA. Pictures: https://imgur.com/a/UO5iM

Hi Everyone, I am humbly requesting your aid in identifying the brand of this safety pen that resembles a vintage MB simplo. By the way, might anyone know what the white inlay is made out of? Appreciatively yours, Confucius_cat

Can you help me to identify the attached pen. It is a Pilot, and according to its shape and nib it is a Deluxe. On the nib it is indicated H278, so it was made in 1978. On the label with Japanese characters states “Lady”. So I assume that it must be a Pilot Delux Lady from 1978. But, it is not the classical Deluxe. Just look at the three rings on the end of the section. I have never seen this design before. Anyone has seen already this model? Thank you in advance. The only way I can show the pen is by this links: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5TmX2hzZFK-dUZZYVRwR1RtWC03Z1hKMHNKSUZSUGlHVGRr/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5TmX2hzZFK-ZzczdmYzbWtDYWNVdlNfbDY4YXVJemdSU0hj/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5TmX2hzZFK-dnBOUTE5amZOTlE4eUp6MXY1QnpWby1xSE5V/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5TmX2hzZFK-OGk1SU54YU9qRExGNEhYcTNxRUNNQWNRN1dj/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5TmX2hzZFK-Y25uN3pKTG1yLTlqVUhZV1h1R0R4T0llYnl3/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5TmX2hzZFK-Ym1jdzRvWFozaElpX3NIajVIejBEY3ozU0lJ/view?usp=sharing

Hello Everybody! I'm new here, and I would like to ask you a question about a Montblanc pen. Could you help me to find the name, the age, and value of this pen, please? Thanks a lot in advance! Best regards!

https://m.ebay.in/itm/New-Mont-Blanc-Metal-Silver-Fountain-Ball-pen-with-Box-Imported-/252652800437?hash=MTE= Is this montblanc pen originial? As far as I know there is no montblanc factory in India. A montblanc pen this cheap--it seems to good to be true. But the photo has guarantee card and all. I will really appreciate your help.

Mystery Mechanical Pencil, And Pen Too
stuck-in-time posted a topic in It Writes, But It Is Not A Fountain Pen ....
Hi, I recently found this up for sale in a local online marketplace, and I can't help wondering the make of the mechanical pencil. I'm quite interested in it, but it'd be much better when I actually know what I'm buying. http://s9.postimg.org/fl56so3hb/258580410_1_644x461_1set_stainless_boxy_parker_j.jpg Sorry for the picture quality, but this seller really does provide only the most vague of description and pics. I've dealt with him before and he was good, and I'm quite sure they're brand-name stationery. The vague description only mentioned that it might be Japanese? It also said Boxy, but from what I know Boxy is just a product line of Mitsubishi Pencil and does not include pencils or pens like these. The button of the pencil looks somewhat like the GraphGear 1000's and it seems to have a rubber grip? While at it, an ID of the ballpoint would be nice too. Thanks -
This is a photograph of Arthur Waley, a translator of Chinese and Japanese texts, dated to 1939. Can anyone identify the right-hand pen in his pocket? Thanks!

Can somebody ID this rOtring mechanical pencil? Found it when I was going through some old stuff. Don't remember where or when I got it. Markings are : "rOtring", "Germany" and "0.7". When you click it lightly, the pencil lead advances. When you click it harder, the lead sleeve retracts/extends. Does anybody know how it was(is) called? And from when to when it was made? Can't seem to find it on the timelinethingy on the rOtring website. http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb269/Blastmaster1972/Tijdelijk/IMG_1200-rotr-ed_zpsbqmf3lvn.jpg http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb269/Blastmaster1972/Tijdelijk/IMG_1201-rotr-ed_zpsb3ct5itz.jpg http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb269/Blastmaster1972/Tijdelijk/IMG_1204-rotr-ed_zpshidc5aho.jpg The lead sleeve retracts: http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb269/Blastmaster1972/Tijdelijk/IMG_1206-rotr-ed_zpswk5ezuvq.jpg http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb269/Blastmaster1972/Tijdelijk/IMG_1208-rotr-ed_zpsqv4vksa7.jpg Thanks in advance. Hello, I inherited this pen from my English grandfather. It's a Sheaffer with what appears to be a golden nib. The cap's top is flat with a golden circle. Can anyone identify it for me? I'd love to get it back into working shape but haven't the faintest idea what to buy for it, and unfortunately the days of going to a pen shop to get it inspected are over. It's safe to assume it needs a new ink cartridge and perhaps a nib, though I can't seem to get it off nor do I know which kind to get. Thanks for any help!

I picked up this beautiful brown and green Inkograph for $15 in a local Antique Mall yesterday, and I can't for the life of me figure out what model it is or what year-range it may have been manufactured in (mid 40s to early 50s maybe?). This pen looks almost exactly like their Ink-D-Cator line, except that my pen is way more tapered at the ends of the barrel and cap. Also, the clip reads INK O GRAPH instead of INK D CATOR. Does anyone know what model this is and when they manufactured them? Thanks!

Hi all! These are a couple of pens someone is selling on my country's version of craigslist. He describes them as "Merlin 14k gold fountainpens. Old. Warrented iridium on one and osmi-irid on the other." (I assume he means on the nibs.) Unfortunately these are the only pics I have. I can see that it says Merlin on the pictured nibs, but the clips don't look like the Merlin 33's at all! Does anyone have a clue what these could be? http://i.imgur.com/n1q8gyo.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/U2qXWjl.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/doqbOG2.jpg

Can anyone help me to ID this planner? The image is originally from this blog post on Design Sponge. It has everything I'm looking for: spiral-bound, weekly notebook format, dated but no hours, perforated corners, refillable... I've spent a few weeks so far googling my fingers off to no avail. Thought I'd try here to see if anyone has any idea what it is. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Hi all, This one is really beyond me, The story is, girlfriend got this for herself about 6 years ago, as a new pen, right out of the box. Now she is convinced it's a knockoff, and I really don't know what to think. I know it's not a Super Master because the grip is wrong, not a Maestro-no curves toward the grip, and it's not a Laureate because there's a line missing. Plus it has this mirror surface on top of the cap. If anything it looks a bit like perspective, but still, that's not it. Would appreciate anyone helping, I know this must be getting old by now, but I have done research, and came up short.

I recently purchased a black chased hard rubber pen on eBay, with the only markings being an imprint of a soldier on the cap, and "Cadet 14K 2 S" on the nib to give any indication of what make or model it might be. I've been trying to research Cadet, and have turned up nothing but Sheaffers (which this pen is decidedly NOT) and Summit, perhaps? It's a really nice pen, great writer with great flex, and much cleaner now than the listing photos I'm sharing. I'm just befuddled by the lack of information. And hoping that someone more knowledgeable of pen history might be able to shed some light on this little guy! The listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/400765394859?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT A couple listing photos: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/OTU4WDExMjM=/z/d-AAAOSwDk5UAPOo/$_57.JPG http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/z/1ksAAOSw-jhUAPPH/$_57.JPG?rt=nc

Hi guys, I'm still here! I recently bought a Wearever at an antique stop. A bit of a learning experience -- made me look up the brand, and I learned that Wearever produced models prolifically, some even without names. That makes ID more challenging, of course, which is why I need your help. :3 I bought my pen for around eight bucks, by the way -- was that an OK deal? Anyway, so I am curious now as to what model it is, if it has a name, and where I can acquire a converter or cartridge(s) to use with it. The pen is the same as the one pictured to the far right in this eBay listing: http://www.ebay.com/...=item1e919703f8 . Thanks in advance for the help. (P.S. This is a repost of https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php/topic/274225-wearever-identification-help/?do=findComment&comment=3118702 -- in case a moderator would like to remove the old mis-forummed post)

Hi everyone, I recently inherited some pens, and I am slowly going through them to try and identify and value them. The first one of the batch is this Ted Lapidus fountain/ballpoint pen set. I cannot seem to find any info on them. Is anyone able to help me identify them?
