  1. Hi all, Was looking at some ships' log books on the interwebs and came across the ones depicted below. I noticed that both of them have a particular lower case d, which arches up and over the previous letters. I quite like the effect it gives and was wondering whether it's a feature of a specific font, or frankly any other detail about this style of writing you guys might have. Many thanks in advance! http://www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/maritime/archive/highlights/images/unity-log.jpg
  2. Hi, this post might not seem suitable for this section but it actually is. Alright, i used to have a cursive handwriting and everyone in my life criticized it because it was HELL ugly. I found this forum and ordered a William Mitchell Calligraphy pen, learnt a new handwriting font (Chancery Italic Hand). It is still super beautiful and mesmerizes everyone for some seconds at a first glance but the problem is that I have to re-grind my pen every week because it wears out and slowly becomes a normal round pen. Secondly, as it is a calligraphic font, it takes time to write and isn't as fast as my cursive used to be. So, I have two choices. 1) I can order a fountain pen with a stub nib (which won't wear out soon) and keep my handwriting font (Chancery Italic) 2) I want you guys to recommend me another handwriting font and this time, it will be a round font i.e written with a non-italic, non-calligraphy nib, a simple, round nib. I think the 2nd option is better, I need a font that is faster (like cursive) and looks neat (NOT like cursive). Or maybe my cursive is worse and I need to work on it. What do you guys think?
  3. Hello, I'm 18 years old an I've been trying to fix my handwriting since 8th grade. Before 8th grade, I use to write in cursive, which was the font that I was first taught. I then tried to write in print and managed to write better, well sort of, at least the letter were more lisible. Gradually, I changed my font for better handwriting and in 2014, when I was in 10th grade, my writing was quite nice, especially with traditionnal Pilot Frixion Ball and a Staedler Triplus Fineliner But then, 11th grade came, taking notes becamed a hassle as the teacher read extremely fast and now, my writing rhythm is so fast that I can't write normally anymore. I'ved tried to beautify my font during Summer but entering this year in 12th grade, it hasn't helped much either. Please tell me what is my problem now and what I should do to make my writing more appreciable.

    Unknown Font

So, I saw the cover of the new album Wig Out at Jagbags and found it pretty cool, I just couldn't identify the font, I am not even really sure if it is a font or that somebody wrote it, anyways, I just wanted to know if any of you guys can tell me something about it. http://i883.photobucket.com/albums/ac39/Gabrieljauma/malkmusandjicks_jagbagscover-1024x1024_zps54947fba.jpg Thank you!
