  1. Hello everyone 😊, greetings from the Netherlands! Happy to be here in the Fountain Pen Network 😁 I need your expertise. I've acquired this striking, antique personalized dip pen made of ivory from a reputable auction house. Aside from certifying the authenticity and legality of the item, they don't have information such as: Were pens like these made for military personnel, artists, medical staff at that time, etc? Were these given as an acknowledgement of a notable contribution or because of a special event? Was personalization of pens like these typical

  5. Disclaimer: Not my question personally. I have eleven Plaisir and six Preppy pens – with interchangeable sections and nibs, so for the purposes of how ink flows from the cartridge or converter onto the page to form shaped marks by way of the nib, they are identical (to the DPQ-700A desk pen as well) – inked right now, and due to the distinct design of the nib-feed-collector-section, I wouldn't say they are typical or representative of writing with a Japanese fountain pen, manufactured by either Platinum itself or any of the Big Three (Platinum, Pilot and Sailor). The Pilot MR is probably

    Napolion 221 Clip Needed

This pen has a clip that is the wrong color and the metal is too thin and cap can not be tightened enough to keep it from turning . If any one has one of these in unusable condition or a nice gold clip that they would part with I would like to hear from you . Am not able to measure it right at the moment but I will add dimensions later to day if I can get to my calipers . Thanks for any help you may be able to give .

    Imperial Pelletier 227

Just won this and was wondering if anyone knows their history . Have read that they were Dutch made but the nib is marked Brussels .
  8. Hi Everyone, I am humbly requesting your aid in identifying the brand of this safety pen that resembles a vintage MB simplo. By the way, might anyone know what the white inlay is made out of? Appreciatively yours, Confucius_cat
  9. Just curious about the nibs on the Visconti pens... I heard that European sizing is a bit different, not sure how though... is their Broad like a Medium? or vice versa? I've been debating a new pen for a while, between a TWSBI 580 and a Monteverde Prima... then while researching I kept seeing Visconti's name show up, and outta my price range so never really looked, but, made the mistake of watching a few videos and looking online, and that Starry Night pen in the Van Gogh series has me hooked. Maybe it's time to get a really good pen, vs a few mediocre pens. I'm looking for a nib that i
  10. Hello everyone To be clear I am searching for a new pen around ~100€ to replace my Lamy 2000, which finally doesn't suits me. I found it too heavy for daily use in high-school + as I am lefty, I didn't find it comfortable enough. My reference pen was during one year the Lamy Safari (wet F), not the best ink capacity but the best comfort I found among others (parker sonnet, 45, 2000, fpr) and the best facility of use ; it's just reliable - solid - working. I) So what's essential for my pen is : 1 - Snap Cap : This is a must for me in fast note-taking, I just don't really like the screwi
