  1. I am usually not a fan of metal parts on pens, except when it's silver. Recently I find myself tempted to purchase the Montblanc Le Petit Prince 145 Doué model, which has a resin body and a rhodium-plated cap. I really wish that it were a 146 with silver cap but it is what it is and still really attractive, and c/c does have its advantages. I am wondering, if any, how is your experience with Montblanc pens with non-silver metal cap or body, especially with rhodium-plated steel. Do they hold up well over time? Is there any flaking, pitting, etc? Much appreciate any input. Regards, como
  2. Hi all, Ive been using fountain pens for a while, but fairly new to Montblanc pens. Im thinking about purchasing a consigned pen from what seems like a reputable seller. Has anyone seen this particular pen before, or know if there are any dead giveaways on its authenticity, and what might be a fair price. It seems to be a 144 Doué from what I can tell, but any help would be me much appreciated. Thanks! V

  4. okay I came across this pen at a good price . the seller seemed nice and had a few good pictures. so I bought it. the seller even included an extra rollerball refill in the price. when I received and checked the pen, I noticed that there was no serial no. on the pen cap. that made me paranoid....because of the no of starwalker fakes out there. so here are the images...please let me know what you think.I know it is a rollerball/fineliner... but I assumed I can still use the knowledge pool here at fpn. thank you for any help in advance. and excuse me for the pics...I used ipad mini for these. I can upload more pics if needed. http://i.imgur.com/mpUVItU.jpg http://i.imgur.com/YoH51ms.jpg on the packed refill there was a sticker indicating it was imported by entrack ltd (authorised distributor of montblanc in india). I tried to remove it, and it came off. http://i.imgur.com/5ULQfcW.jpg http://i.imgur.com/czXJ4j5.jpg there is quite a lot of ink damage. on flipping the cushion there is a slot for 2 pens. http://i.imgur.com/uwlg7oD.jpg http://i.imgur.com/IYGL2Na.jpg http://i.imgur.com/wsjMv18.jpg http://i.imgur.com/tl3KzWN.jpg it does say Germany metal pix under the clip. regards Vikram
