Here are a couple pictures of Skyline Gold Award pens side by side. The larger of the two is a "standard" (but it is an odd standard as it measures 5.5 inches capped). The smaller of the two is a demi, measuring in at 4 and 7/8ths (4.875) inches capped. The bigger of the two came with a nice fine (very) flex nib, the demi came with a more typical slight flex (almost miniscule flex) with a medium tip. It is worth noting that BOTH the body and the cap are longer on the standard Gold Award pens.

Hello all. I recently purchased what I thought to be a NOS Parker 21 on eBay for $20. After receiving it I believe that it may be an areometric Parker 51 demi. The pen came with a Parker 21 cap and a barrel that seems a bit to big for the pen. The picture below shows a Parker 51 at the bottom, a Parker 21 Mark II in the middle, and the pen in question at the top. As a side note the barrel that came with the pen does not fit on the Parker 21 Mark II. It it definitely smaller than both the full sized Parker 51 and the Parker 21 and has the same clutch ring as the Parker 51. On the filler it is just stamped Parker whereas the Parker 51 and 21 both have stamps that say, Parker 51 and Parker 21 respectively. I have since used the pen, it writes very well. Any thoughts as to what it could be? Thanks http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah48/Davide_Borrelli/20150925_130646_zpsnuwpiyfp.jpg

Hi All- I am writing hoping that the P-'51' experts here can answer a few questions for me, I got a '51' Demi Signet a few months ago and it's a beautiful pen, but I have a couple of things I was wondering about. I have looked around and have the '51' book but couldn't find answers, so I thought I would ask here. Sorry if I missed a place that answers my questions. My Demi Signet was made in 1949. It has the hoop filler-is this correct for this pen? I just saw this one that just sold on 'that' auction site and it's from 1948 and has a hoop filler, so I'm thinking it must be correct for my pen, but just wanted to be sure. Here's the one that just sold: http://www.ebay.com/itm/vintage-parker-51-vacumatic-fountain-pen-rolled-gold-1-10-14k-gold-filled-/261875362455?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cf8fcea97&nma=true&si=sFp8SwCSohMlA6yGzYs0%252BH80WGw%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 A couple of other questions are, mine has a plastic breather tube-would that have been originally on my pen from 1949? Last is the nib-I have a few (okay a bunch of demis, as I am addicted to these) and have not seen a nib like this yet. Is this a needlepoint? I tried to take good pictures, but realize they may not be good enough for you to tell, but I thought I would ask... Thanks for reading and for any help!!!
