    Sailor Jentle Shigure Blue Black

Sailor Jentle Shigure Dear FPN Friends. A little story... I am Dutchman born in Breda.... Cosiest city of "joie de vivre" (joy of life) in the northern hemishpere.... Just nineteen kilometres away is the Fountain Pen Walhalla better known as La Couronne du Comte.... My Girlfriend Sabine and I went to paradise last week to buy some Fountain Pens (Maybe I will do a review soon (Dupont and Edison...).Dennis and Rik gave me/us some nice goodies.... one of those is... Sailor Jentle Shigure Ink http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a617/Morbus_Curiositas/Sailor%20Jentle%20shigure/SailorJentleShigure002InksplashFPN_zpsfcf2540d.jpg http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a617/Morbus_Curiositas/Sailor%20Jentle%20shigure/SailorJentleShigure003towelFPN_zps38ddbb56.jpg Colour: Deepest Dark Blue http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a617/Morbus_Curiositas/Sailor%20Jentle%20shigure/SailorJentleShigure1FPN_zps71c69563.jpg Down here are some of the technical specs (as suggested by Ann Finley 2007) (not copied in but for this ink) points 1-5 1 = 5= Fountain Pens: Diplomat Marrakesh A Nib M: Kaweco Calligrapy 2,3 Itlaic Nib Paper: Leonardo Ringbuch, average quality school note book made in Austria Drying time: fast points 5/ Flow: very smooth even in both nibs points: 5 Lubrication: smooth in both pens points: 5 Bleeding: strong in broad nibs little in M (see photo) points 4 Shading: medium none points: 3 Waterproof: Not vomplete but VERY legible after 2 minute Bath points: 4 Package: Lovely bottle with special system to fill you pen wiht last drop points: 35 Availabilty: In Europe Good, La Couronne Du Comte (NL),http://www,lacouronneducomte.nl See review USA Amazon, Do not know where to obtain in the USA but Goulet Pens has a great joy in pleasing their clients ask... Why don't you Rachel http://www,gouletpens.com Quality: Janpanese Geniosity points: 5 http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a617/Morbus_Curiositas/Sailor%20Jentle%20shigure/SailorJentleShigure006samplerFPN_zpsfa73934f.jpg Nice Stuff....Please Compare wiht the Bombproff De Atamentis....Seems like the same colour family Showthrough and waterproof http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a617/Morbus_Curiositas/Sailor%20Jentle%20shigure/SailorJentleShigure008bleed_zps5e92678b.jpg Little but very acceptible showthrough with Medium nib.... Quite strong bleeding with the 2,3 Italic... But using the 2.3 Italic is like throwing a Molotow cocktail to the paper http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a617/Morbus_Curiositas/Sailor%20Jentle%20shigure/SailorJentleShigure004waterproofFPN_zps2557ce2e.jpg Do not know if it survives longer swims... But this looks very legible after 2 minutes in Water Too Conclude Very nice and well-behaving ink. It has a nice familiar smell of ink.... Very dark blue.... (PM for a postcard)... Highly saturated (my advise clean your FP more often). It is one of the deepest and richest dark Blues I have seen sofar.... Very Impressive.... Thanks a lot Arrigato Dennis and Rik Regards
  2. Today's baking ... Ooops! Wrong forum! And now, we return to our regularly scheduled inkiness ... Ahem! I wanted to compare my recently acquired Akkerman #5 Shocking Blue with a couple of other inks that seemed similar, until I put them side by side on paper. Comments? David
