  1. I was up in Boston, MA last week for a conference and snipped across the river to the resurrected Bob Slate Stationers in Harvard Square where I picked up a notebook from a Danish outfit called Notem. I have yet to crack the small one I got, but was wondering if anyone here had any experiences with the brand. I have in general been impressed with Scandinavian papers such as Tervakoski and Terreus but can find no real information about Notem. TIA for any impressions or comments.
  2. Zinklar Zinglersen & Co was the first Company in Denmark (c. 1922) to make fountain pens. Before that time all fountain pens were imported mostly from Germany, USA and UK. Brand names were: Tete Rouge, Dana-pennen, Absalon, Mount Everest and ZZ. The pens were safety fillers and button fillers in black hard rubber and the quality is exceptional good. Tete Rouge (english: redtop) was much inspired by Montblanc´s Rouge et Noir.

  4. I just received a coral streamlined MB Danish 20, but it's a tad small for my hands -- I generally prefer the length and girth of the 146/136 unposted. I know there is a No. 25 model in the same production time frame. Does anyone know if it's the same size as the No.20, or is it a size #6 equivalent? I have a Simplo No. 25 safetyfiller that is a lot thicker than the slim Danish 20. Would the same girth apply to the Danish 25? Or should one totally ignore the model conventions because these pens are developed separately in Denmark? Also, what does the '5' in No. 25 mean? Sorry for the barrage of questions. I hope to hear from the experts here. Thanks a lot!
