  1. We've had discussions whether a woman can use blue ink, whether a man can use pink ink. But most pens are not really girl-friendly. Pens are equally used by both men and women, but it seems that the pens I see are mostly geared toward men in design. Colours are sombre, rather robust and bulky in design, without much fanciful decorations. You do get an occasional one like Marlene Dietrich, but those are very rare (there are pink Pelikanos and such, but I don't think corporate women would want to be seen with those...). So ladies! What is your "pen design" wish? Something thinner, or with filigreed barrel, or more colours? I personally want a thinner pen in brighter colours (yes, yes, I know there are Safaris, but the design of the pen isn't really... nice). Maybe a fleur-de-lis on the clip.
  2. Anybody know of any nice printed stationary that is fountain pen friendly? Not cards, but sheets of paper? I'm tired of using the same old blank Tomoe River on EVERY LETTER. (I love T.R. but enough already lol) The more specific you are about the name of it, the easier my googling will be. Extra points for customizable stationary.
  3. All done with the acronyms for the moment. Up for PIF: This cute little Sheaffer VFM, matte black, with box. The metal-bodied pen has a medium nib and does not take Sheaffer cartridges, but rather standard international cartridges, one included. Surprise ink samples also included. CONUS only, please, and only fountain pen newbies. Anyone who has previously won a PIF from me, kindly sit this out. Thanks. Will leave this PIF open until Monday Dec. 14, 6 PM EST. Oops, there I go with the acronyms again!
  4. I have a pastel blue Pilot Kakuno, which as you can see I've decorated with vomit-inducing stickers of joy and sparkles. While I do have and use more elegant-looking pens, privately I prefer the cute style and bright colors of my Kakuno. I am thinking of getting another pen to join my lonesome blue one, but most of the pens I see are gorgeous and elegant instead of cute. Does anyone have any suggestions? http://i.imgur.com/MTYgcPx.jpg?3
