    Pilot Con-50 Question

A while ago (time gets funny in Covidland) I purchased a 3-pack of what was reported to be Pilot Con-50 converters. I wanted to replace the Con-40s that had come with some of my pens that will not fit a Con-70. This morning I attempted to place one in one of my Vanishing Points; though it fit in the pen I could not close the pen correctly and ended up swapping back to a Con-40. Am I wrong in thinking a Con-50 should fit? I bought these from a spot @ASmugDill had mentioned - are they perhaps not actually Con-50s? I've attached a picture. I love Pilot Capless except for the lousy converters! Thanks.

  3. I need a con-50 converter for my Pilot Penmanship, I'm seeing different prices on ebay, the cheapest being from China; anyone got these? It's not something I would usually worry about, but after three terrible converters for a Kaweco Sport, I might as well make sure... I know the con-50 has been replaced by the con-40, and I don't like squeeze converters like the con-20.
  4. Hey guys, I have a Pilot Metropolitan and I love it. The only thing that I HATE about this pen is the limitation of the filling system. I hate the squeeze converter, but I hate that the con-50 has less ink capacity, yet it is the most practical converter. I don't have an ink syringe to re-fill the cartridges, so I'm wondering is there any way to custom make a converter that is a piston filling system? Or even modify a converter to fit the Metro, like a standard international? If any of you have any links on how to make your own filling systems that would be amazing.
  5. Please disregard this opening post and read the second post. I accidentally checked the wrong "html" box. This resulted in very wonky formatting. I think I figured it out by my second post.
