Hi-This is my first review. I've scanned the document and I hope this works. I really liked this ink. I've always considered myself a jewel toned girl but there is something about the Sailor Greens that seems to call to me. I tried to write the name of the ink in (is it kanji) but probably failed miserable. I believe the name indicates the wait one experiences at the beginning of spring until the new tea can be harvested-88 days. The number 88 is also a lucky number for many Asians (8s always being a good thing). Thoughts: I did not have a ton of similar greens to compare the ink to, I used Sailor Pen and Messenger Cigar with a dip pen (hello mess) and a fine point. I found the intensity of the color similar to both Diamine's Racing Green and Cigar. The ink behaved beautifully on both the Staples sugarcane (20lb), Tomoe River (cream), and the Crown Mill. I think it looked best with the medium flex nib. crazy shading throughout.water resistance- basically none-I sprinkled drops of water and let it sit for over 10 seconds, then wiped down. Where the drops were large the ink disappeared.I could be totally wrong on lubrication/flow--like I said this is all new to me. The ink didn't fight the pen or paper. There was some bleed through.I really love this color. It reminds me of how green everything in Albuquerque in the spring. This is a sample of the comparable inks that I have. Please note the photo has a touch more green (just a tiny bit) but I can't seem to correct it. This is a picture of a scanned pdf. Hope this works. This is the PDF which might be easier to view. Sorry.

As may be well known presently, Sailor produces custom inks for select stores in Japan. Some such store is called "Bungbox". They have a line of about 37 inks, some of which are special edition. Some inks from this collection have become well-known within the FPN community of ink lovers. Recently, Vanness Pen has started stocking this line of inks. Well they're trying to do so. They get a few in, then sell out. They can't seem to get a large lot of extensive stock in at one time. Currently they only have a few bottles of a couple inks. Perhaps this will change in the future. Also, Bungbox now has an Amazon shop, where they have a few inks and some custom pens. I prefer to use their Japanese site translated by google. I only wish it would translate the buttons! Though perhaps that would make "Add to Cart" far too easy. I recently ordered from Vanness upon their last shipment some of the inks. One of them is named "88 Green Tea". It is apparently only available during the season when new green tea is available. So it may be that they'll have made a certain number of bottles each year around the same time. The color is muted yellow-green. At first I wasn't sure that I would like it. Dark, murky greens are the ones I love. But this ink I've found to be very nice. And it works well for me to add notes, annotations, and corrections to a page in dark green. This is one of the least water-resistant inks that I've tested. The image implies that a decent amount of ink remains behind, and it does, but no where near as much as many others. Water droplets lift ink right off the page. Of course, tea blends completely with water, so the ink captures that quality as well as the appearance. The inks come in very classy boxes with vintage style bottles. Sorry about the shadows, but this ended up being the best pic of the lot. It does capture very well the range of tones possible with this ink. A closeup view at an angle to try and show details of the ink. Waterfastness test If you compare this with others I've done, you'll see this ink is much less waterfast or even resistant.

Due to the gracious generosity of an FPN member I received a lovely sample of the Bungbox Ink of Witch by Sailor. This is a special ink made for a pen/ink/stationary shop in Japan. Sailor does this a lot for the shops in Japan, often promoting colors related to the history or geography of the city where the shop resides. The ink is quite interesting, a velvety black that can sometimes appear deep dark muted purple. The scans of writing for this ink found online indicate that it is more purple than black, but with this sample, in my pens, that's not the case. It's still a very good, very wet ink. I'll post the chroma test later whan it dries. Mostly it looks like it'll be black with a bit of purple (surprise!). How to obtain this ink? I'm a little unsure. There's an ebay vendor cool-japan that can get many of the specialty inks. I'd seen a post mentioning that Bungbox will ship to US, so with some help from google translate you could visit the Japanese website. But I know some colors you might need to order twelve at a time. This could be one of them. If so, maybe there'll be a group purchase at some point. I've read that the ink shows it's purple side more with fine nibs. I haven't tried that at this point. On inkjet paper, scan. On laserjet paper, scan. On moleskine, scan. On Mohawk via Linen paper, iPhone photo, so probably darker than in reality. Waterproof tests. The ink is quite waterproof. You might loose the purple, but the black stays.
