    Lamy 2000 Ballpoint Repair

Got hand on a complete set of, as it seems, first Generation Lamy with Etui. Unfortunately the Ballpoint has a horizontal crack just below the thread. Are there replacement "section" available and are new ones interchangeable with the early ones?

    Gold Ones

I've had a Parker 65 fountain pen for more than 30 years (12ct rolled gold, English made) I recently aquired a matching ball pen and pencil for £20 each and almost instantly lost the ball pen. On looking for a replacement, I found a gold 180 fountain pen and ball pen set (made in the USA) for £40. Is this the beginning of the end? I seem to have paid a very reasonable price for the 180 set, looking at Ebay. I also have an elderly Platignum which actually writes very nicely. I hope I can successfully upload some pics. Well here they are, not in the order I had hoped, and quite large. I have identified most of them, but not the Ball pen or the Pencil. Hope some one can help.. Thanks to you all for your welcome!
  4. First post on FPN in over a year for me. My life has taken several unexpeced turns, but I am now back! Here's the story: I went antiquing in Québec city last friday, searching for vintage pens and antique bottles. After three unsuccessful attempts I finally find an antique store that has some fountain pens. There were three or four celluloid Watermans (two of them had damaged nibs, a very small streamline Duofold (Lady?) in need of a new sac, a Waterman #12, a Sheaffer Touchdown with stripped blind cap threads, an Esterbrook SJ and last but not least, a Parker set in a black faux-suede pen slip. I was intrigued by the set. I pulled the pen out, only to see the shimmer of the sterling silver grid pattern. Both the pen and the ballpoint were in excellent condition with little tarnish. The price asked was 125$, but after a few minutes of haggling I left the store with the set and my wallet 90$ lighter. Back home, I filled it with water, and it wrote perfectly with the rehydrated ink still in the original converter.
