    Schneider Bk406 Review

Schneider BK406 Review Introduction & First Impressions I was looking for a cheap EF pen to dedicate to Baystate Blue and wanted something blue to match the ink. I had been leaning toward getting a blue-capped Pilot Kakuno (F) for this purpose, but when I came across this Schneider pen for less than half the price here in China (under US$5), I thought it was worth a try. I couldn’t find any reviews online for this model and the closest equivalent for sale in the West seems to be Schneider’s Zippy which is still quite different. Schneider makes several inexpensive pens for sale in China
  2. Here's one of the lesser-known Baystate inks, Baystate Cranberry. It was a really big disappointment, considering how much I like Baystate Blue. If you need a similar color that's actually brighter (punchier?), I definitely recommend Diamine Cerise. It's an all-around better ink. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/xq90/537/H1E0Jp.jpg

    Make Baystate Ink Wetter

Hello all, I'm a new poster to FPN, longtime reader. I'm looking for suggestions on how to make my Baystate Cape Cod Cranberry wetter. I know it doesn't play nice with other inks, and I just ruined a preppy by adding a drop of dish detergent to the Baystate ink already in the barrel (it's an ED). I've successfully added a drop of dish detergent to other bottles with desirable results. I've even done it to my bottle of BSB and it's working well - though in hindsight it was a huge risk, and it was likely liquid hand soap, not dish detergent, if that makes a difference. Anyways, does anyone

    Baystate Blue Stains

My ink samples for my first pen arrived yesterday, and I am still waiting for my first pen to arrive in the mail, a Lamy Vista. When I looked at the ink samples, I noticed immediately that the sample vial of bsb was totally stained with blue, and none of the other samples had any staining at all. With all my research online, I knew that bsb has a reputation, but the color is just so breathtaking! I am now having second thoughts about putting this ink into my pen. If (when) staining occurs in my Vista, will an ammonia solution be able to get it out? I have heard of some issues with using bleach

    Baystate Blue

Give your honest opinion on it. Love or hate?
  7. I'm back! After (what, a year?) I finally have time to do reviews again! Well, I've still been doing them, but without a working scanner, and with no time to set up a photo situation that's up to my standards, I haven't posted a new on in a while. I used to scan the reviews at a high resolution, but photobucket started to hate on my data usage and I had three separate PB accounts full of review pics. Getting accurate color out of the scans was always exceedingly difficult, and I'd always wanted to switch over to taking the pics with a camera using noon daylight (CRI of 100 is hard to argue wi
  8. Over a year ago, I opened my first bottle of Baystate Blue. I was in heaven. It is so bright and so lovely. I have used it daily since. Soon after, I ordered Baystate Concord Grape and Cape Cod Cranberry. Unfortunately, those inks were not nearly as bright. I rarely use them. I've also bought Diamine Orange, which is supposed to be a neon orange. It's pretty bright, but not nearly as bright as Baystate Blue. Should I give up trying to find another ink like BSB? Does anyone know of something that compares?
