  1. Hiya I'm hoping someone can advise me? Joined the forum yesterday as I need some help please. Was trying to refill a vintage cross ballpoint (classic century I believe) and somehow managed to remove the refill holder, instead of just the refill?? And of course it won't go back in now... I've tried heating the barrel but that didn't work. Have I ruined it?
  2. A couple of days ago, I was cleaning out a part of my garden that I had let go wild for many years. While digging up endless root systems of Parthenocissus quinquefolia, I came upon this old Pilot Precise Rolling Ball pen. It was stained a tea color (I should have taken a "before" photo) and dirty, of course. I wiped it down with some spray cleaner and voilá. It wrote a little gummy at first, but now it's a smooth, excellent extra-fine point writer. I've been carrying it with me ever since; in fact, I like it so much, I ordered a 12-pack of Pilot Precise Needlepoint V5s. Could someone indulge my curiosity and give me an idea how old this pen is?
  3. Hi, Finally figured out how to refill an empty parker roller ball cartridge with fountain pen ink and have made a short 3 min video describing the process. It's a variation of the syringe vacuum method used to refill a pilot varsity pen. https://youtu.be/uMtBMEE7tas Let's see how many times the roller ball cartridge can be refilled and report back what caused it to finally fail. eg: ball dropped out. Enjoy! weemeng
  4. I work in a doctor's office, and someone left their Lamy 2000 ballpoint. My coworkers are not pen people, but as soon as I saw it, I knew what it was and grabbed it in case the rightful owner were to return. I know it's not as expensive as the fountain pen, but I'm sure someone is missing it, as it is a nice ballpoint. If you can name the doctor's office, DM me and we can arrange a way to return it. If you know who lost it, please put them in contact with me.
  5. Hi everyone, What are your suggestions/ideas/tricks for adding an agitator to a Parker piston converter? From what I can't tell, they can't be taken apart without breaking them although I might be wrong about that. Have you found anything that works well and doesn't come out too easily? Thank you all very much in advance! 3nding
