    Montblanc Help

Hello fountain pen experts, I recently inherited a Montblanc Meisterstuck pen and would like to know more about it. Here are all the identifying numbers on the pen: Bottom of cap: Montblanc - Meisterstuck Top of cap: CB274493 W-Germany Nib: 4810 14k Montblanc 585 I want to know more about this pen so I know what ink to buy. I'm fairly new to the fountain pen world. The pen came with cartridges but they were dried up inside. The dried-up cartridges have beige-colored casing and say "Mont Blanc" around the top. I'm pretty sure it's black ink, since the dried-up ink inside looks very dark black. My questions: 1. What ink should I buy? 2. When was this pen made? 3. What model is this pen? 4. How much is this pen worth? 5. Based on the serial number and other features, is it real? Thanks you in advance for any help. I'll upload pictures soon, if you guys think it's necessary to answer my questions.

    Unknown Vintage Pelikan

Few days ago, I acquired an unknown vintage Pelikan fountain pen. Now I don't know much about it (I have had hard times identifying since it has only "PELIKAN" and "GERMANY" engraved on the cap), but I am sure it is not a part of the famous M series. Furthermore, I believe that is a vintage since I can not find it any new Pelikan catalog. The nib is silver in color, and it has engraved "585" and "14C" on it, but it misses the pelikan logo engraved on it (also, I am not sure if the nib is made of gold, or just gilded). It has a black body and a silver cap. The pelikan logo is engraved on the top of the cap. I believe it is never used. If it helps in identifying its age, with this fountain pen I acquired a ball pen as well (basically the same model) and the mine of the BP is a Pelikan 137 M. They came in a set, so I guess they should have been produced in the same period. Any feedback and information would be very much appreciated.

Need Help To Find My Pelikan Model

Hi, I want to buy a Pelikan fountain pen from a friend. I think it's a special edition but couldn't find a similar model in the design. It's pretty similar of the M600 Green but there are part which not equivalent. So I need your help to find it out. I put some pictures in attached files. Waiting for your news. Thank you.
  4. Hi Today saw a well packaged pen arrive via the "Bay". I took a chance on an unknown brand (to me) that looked interesting and a low starting price. It was untested as I think that the seller might not be familiar with a piston filler. This turned out to be a Geha 722. It shows no evidence of ink in the windows and a flush of water brought only enough ink to indicate a possible dip test. Sticker shows Fine for the nib. Can anyone date this pen please? I think I want to try this with a bright red ink. Any suggestions for a good red? (other than a Shiraz) I have tried to do the nib justice with a small compact camera. Why does it take 87 photos to get some decent shots? Enjoy the nib art. Oh! The price £3.99 and free p&p!!!! I feel almost guilty paying so little. K
  5. Hello! I came by a fountain pen today and haven't been able to identify it. I would be very interested to know about any information concerning this pen. I was able to find a short history of the company itself but not much about the pens they produced. I'm definitely not an expert on fountain pens (I've been researching them for a few weeks now), but I'd be very interested to know more! I'm wondering how old this pen might be, does it have any historical value, is it worth hanging onto? The pen seems to work - I've been cleaning it for the better part of the day (carefully, taking precautions and using only water) Breather hole in the cap is located opposite of the clip Nib engraving: OSMIA SUPRA 14K 585 Body engraving: 982 F (Tried to upload pictures of all details)
  6. Hello--I'm so glad this forum is here. I hope you can help me. I was given a Montblanc (or is it?) by someone who found it in a drawer and didn't want it because "he didn't like fountain pens." The nib is all yellow gold with no inlay and is labeled, starting from the point and reading toward the barrel, 4810, the Montblanc logo, 14k, MONTBLANC, 585. The cap ring reads MEISTERSTUCK-MONTBLANC-. The clip ring, though worn, seems to read W-GERMANY. I apologize for the quality of the pictures. The pen seems smaller than most Montblancs I have seen. It's lovely--but is it a Montblanc? If so, what model? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance--Laurieapg
  7. I find it difficult to find a way to fix my boheme with the prices out there soaring higher than what the pen is worth in reality, and I do love the idea of having a boheme, prices start from 205 euro just to shell itself, and that without the cap and used. Does anyone know that with a size 2 feeder, at 3.9mm length, and with a 2 mm nib in length, 4810, 14k 585 mono color can be used in other pens in general? I do not want to sell this nib, I simply ADORE it to death and if I cannot find a solution fixing my boheme I see me Frankensteining (a new verb in the MB dictionary I read) to save this nib from being stored away. Any ideas are welcome, it does not have to be an MB it can be something else. Thank you in advance.
  8. Hi All, Can anyone help me identify the pen I have, my father was presented with this in the early 60's when working in the Middle East. He's looking at selling it now so before advertising for sale wants to know more about it and value. Using a magnifying glass I can make out the following. On barrel (I think it called) Mont Blanc 325 on Top Nib 585 End of 1st Half Orange Hexagon End of 2nd Half White Dot Black Body Blue Holder revealed when unscrewed A separate Reddish Box. Have attached some photos but the quality isn't cheap I only could use a cheap camera phone ONLY. If you any queries I can examine the MB using the magnifying glass again. Thanks in advance
