    Changes In 54Th Mass?

So, I ordered a sample of Noodler's 54th Massachusetts from Goulet Pens and loved it. Great color, well-behaved, quick drying, and waterproof to boot. When I bought the bottle, though, it has proven to be extremely wet and will spread and feather on almost every paper, including the Mnemosyne and Clairefontaine papers I use the most. I go through twice the ink that I used to with this. The distributor says that the latter performance is normal, and they found nothing wrong with the ink that they replaced for me. 1. Has anyone noticed a change to this effect in this ink lately? 2. Which is normal, the sample or the bottle? 3. Any tips to make this ink work? I really want this ink to work, but this just will not do it for me.

    Noodler's: 54Th Massachusetts

http://inks.pencyklopedia.pl/wp-content/uploads/Noodlers-54th-Massachusetts-nazwa.png Present test ink Noodler's 54th Massachusetts with cool gray-blue color. Ink writes great! The real pleasure of writing. Also color my type. Worse with the smell. It reminds some laboratory chemicals. Sharp and unpleasant. But nobody tells us to smell the ink. Note: TOTAL waterproof. I would recommend! Manufacturer: Noodler's Series, colour: 54th Massachusetts Pen: Waterman Hemisphere "F" Paper: Image Volume 80 g / cm2 Specifications: Flow rate: very good Lubrication: good Bleed through: possible point Shading: noticeable Feathering: unnoticeable Saturation: good A drop of ink smeared with a nib http://inks.pencyklopedia.pl/wp-content/uploads/Noodlers-54th-Massachusetts-kleks.jpg The ink smudged with a cotton pad http://inks.pencyklopedia.pl/wp-content/uploads/Noodlers-54th-Massachusetts-wacik.jpg Lines http://inks.pencyklopedia.pl/wp-content/uploads/Noodlers-54th-Massachusetts-kreski.jpg Water Resistance http://inks.pencyklopedia.pl/wp-content/uploads/Noodlers-54th-Massachusetts-woda.jpg Sample text http://inks.pencyklopedia.pl/wp-content/uploads/Noodlers-54th-Massachusetts-txt.jpg Ink drying time ca. 5 sec. 3. Hello all, One of my favorite inks is Noodler's 54th Massachusetts. I like it as a daily ink in one of my pens because it's a dark enough blue/black that I feel it's appropriate for just about any task (not that I'm in a legal setting or anything anyway). I have noticed, though, that it tends to creep a lot. I thought at first it might be the pen I was using, but I tried it in other pens and had the same result. I recently started using it in an Edison Pearlette and it's doing it with that as well. Is this just a characteristic of this ink or is it just maybe a bad batch? Anyone else noticing this issue? Thanks for any information you guys can offer up. Best, Matthew
