Noodlers Army Green Ink Review

Well, thanks to Ann Finley, she lit a fire under my rear end!! I have done about a half dozen reviews this weekend and I will post them in the next few days. AS for this one, this is one of my special inks that I like to use when I write letters to my adopted soldiers. I had to use my work computer to color correct due to the fact that my work computer monitor is calibrated and my home computers are not. I went as far as to color correct while looking at the actual handwritten review. I also am tring out something new, I am posting the small thumbnails and there is a link to the larger full sized images right underneath. I did this because not everyone has broadband internet.

Hi TNS,

Very lovely ink review, and I do appreciate the nice story behind it! I also like the fact that these reviews are longer now :D.

Thank you very much for sharing! Lovely ink, lovely story, lovely review, and last but not least, lovely pen to write this with :D.

Warm regards, Wim

TNS - yet another nice ink review. Thanks for a look at a rather unusual color.

Great job on the adopt-a-soldier! :bunny1: :bunny1: :bunny1: :bunny1: :bunny1: :bunny1: for you and our men and women in uniform.

Wow, TNS, you've been working overtime on these reviews. I just read the other two, also. :) It looks like the actual reviews that were missing in their threads the other day are back! (I think I'd been looking for the Diamine Royal Blue / Tropical Blue reviews for comparison when I noticed they were missing.) Glad these are all back, too!

Thanks,

Ann

Thanks for the info (I only used B&W film and learned to process that).   Boy -- the stuff I learn here!  Just continually astounded at the depth and breadth of knowledge in this community! Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

It just wasn't likely to have been Kodachrome.  It would have been the films I referred to as "other color films." (Kodachrome is not a generic term for color film. It is a specific film that produces transparencies, or slides, by a process not used for any other film. There are other color trans

@Ceilidh -- Well, I knew people who were photography majors in college, and I'm pretty sure that at least some of them were doing photos in color, not just B&W like I learned to process.  Whether they were doing the processing of the film themselves in one of the darkrooms, or sending their stuff out to be processed commercially?  That I don't actually know, but had always assumed that they were processing their own film. Kodachrome 25 was the most accurate film for clinical photography and was used by dermatologists everywhere. I got magnificent results with a Nikon F2 and a MicroNikkor 60 mm lens, using a manually calibrated small flash on a bracket. I wish there were a filter called "Kodachrome 25 color balance" on my iPhone camera.
