Diamine Turquoise

A beautiful, summery ink. What do you think? The picture is lighter than the actual review - taken in bright sunlight.

I'm not usually a fan of turquoise inks but I tried a sample of this one. I used it in my Visconti Van Gogh Maxi with a wet, broad nib. The colour came out a rich, dark turquoise with amazing shading. (Much darker than your picture even allowing for bright sunlight) It's the only turquoise I've seen that I'd buy.

Thank you for the review. It's very pretty.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

It is gorgeous, and I agree darker than the picture. I got fed up of trying to colour balance the picture. It is a beautiful turquoise.

Thanks for sharing that.

At the moment I'm working my way through a bottle of Waterman Turquoise ink, but I have bought a 30 ml bottle of the Diamine Turquoise to try as a tester in due course.

Waterman Turquoise is gorgeous, but I must urge you to have a go with your Diamine Turquoise, it is breath-taking! Let us know your thoughts!

Hello! Ok, a question for you; are you really that strong-willed to not play with a bottle of ink until another is finished? Wow, if I did that, I'd be about 489 before I got to try all the fun colours I have! I salute you! :D

Hi, I have just checked my samples of Peacock Blue and Turquoise (and carried out a q-tip swab comparison!). On first look they are nearly identical (!!) however peacock is, I would say very, very slightly more towards the blue than Diamine Turquoise. However, I am shocked at how close the colours are (not to mention delighted!) I will upload a photo when time permits, but for now I can say with confidence there is an insignificant difference. Thank you for posting - it has just found my replacement for Sheaffer Peacock Blue! :bunny01:

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
