I'm sure telling people about how well an Edison pen works and fits is as pointless as telling people the sky is blue, but it does.

I took a while to decide which pen I wanted and after a couple of email chats with Brian I had decided upon the pen. All that remained was to decide upon the colour - that took a couple of weeks! Err no, then I needed to agree a section size and colour, but anyway with Brian's help when all was done I ordered the pen. Be warned at this point - it's hard having to wait for something when you really want to pick it up and write...

 

The nib started out with a request for a stub but with as much line variation as possible, what I got was a cursive italic! Which is what I wanted. :)

 

I wanted a pen that could be an eye dropper but also with a converter for those ink trials we all do from time to time. I've yet to try the pen as an eye dropper, I suspect it would require more than 5 ml to fill the body, and I might not be able to lift it!!!

 

Anyway the pen is every bit as good as I hoped, the only thing I fancy is having a broad nib to swap around when I fancy something different which I'll pick up soon.

 

If you're stuck in the world of everyday pens and have not considered one of Brian's pens, before going out and buying another pen give some thought to a custom made pen that will always be yours and individual.

I've held off due to uncertainty about the nibs as well as some design elements. Please put a writing sample up and even more close ups of the pen. Love that color!

What a well thought out pen.

The material makes the threads disappear on the section, and masks that the pattern doesn't precisely line up at the top of the cap.

The section shape is perfect, meaning it suits my preferences perfectly.

Please share a writing sample with us, and congratulations on having your dream pen arrive,

Beautiful pen and a great colour! I have several Edisons and like my Persimmon Swirl Morgan as well as any of them. That colour/pattern looks just as good in real life as it does in Brian's excellent photos!

Really nice color and I like the straight section.

Here in Germany Edison Pen is almost unknown.

I have to wait for my Huron.

I'm really excited to have the pen in my hands.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
