Here is the review of my vintage Elmo 302B by Montegrappa. This pen is great, and I really, really wish the threads didn't chip on the blind cap. Is there anyone out there who can fix the threads?

 

Anyway, here it is! I hope you enjoy. The second to last photo shows the beautiful celluloid the most. Also, the last photo shows the chipped threads from when I took off the blind cap to photograph it.

Fifth sentence is supposed to read: I would say this would probably be considered a gentleman's waist coat pen.

What a beautiful pen :) I'm with you on the Montegrappa addiction, and flex in the nib seems to be one of their signatures. Thanks for the great review and the lovely pics.

Stunning pen, amazing colour, awesome nib.

Has Montegrappa ever done a re-issue of these classic celluloid pens? Other than the 1930 Extra, Emblema, Miya and the regular celluloid line?

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time

Thanks everyone! I have already contacted Ron Z and he said he can fix the threads so I am glad and relieved that they can be fixed.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..
