@Penguincollector some lovely copperplate, have you tried a dip pen and nib? Or an oblique pen holder? They are both fun to use and can really help as well

  I do have several different types of holders and nibs that I can try, although for now I am looking through my currently inked hoard for more portable equipment to use at the pub we meet up in.  You reminded me that I recently purchased a new metallic cobalt holder that has an detachable oblique component and have yet to use it; I will neglect it no longer.
