These are very nice pens despite their unusual looks. I have a matt-black version of it, and love how it writes.

It is their unusual shape that made we want one in the first place - it reminds me of the original, curvy, glass Coca-Cola bottles.

 

I suspect that the root of the appeal of this, ‘hourglass’, shape to me may actually be something that is programmed very deeply in to the male brain 😁

Actually, I didn't tie that shape to anything at first glance. What I thought first was "Well, Parker did try something I definitely not understand, but it looks cool.", and bought this very design as a birthday present for a very close friend.

 

After test-driving it, I loved how the nib wrote and how the pen felt (I love slightly stubby signature of Parker nibs), and added to my shopping list, but never got around buying one.

 

One day I found one in a clearance sale for a very low price, and with a way cooler design too (mine looks like a circuit board), and I'm a happy camer since.
