The Montblanc Rita Hayworth Limited Edition 46 pays tribute to the once revered goddess of Hollywood, with a pen that succeeds in capturing the glamor and spirit of the woman who was once dubbed “The Great American Love Goddess” by LIFE magazine.

Limited to just 46 handcrafted pieces as a nod to the 1946 release of Gilda – a film for which Rita Hayworth achieved international fame – the limited edition fountain pen is designed after the actress’ iconic role the ultimate temptress. The translucent green lacquer of the Fountain pen is reminiscent of Hayworth’s seductive satin gown on a popular Gilda movie poster of the time. The wavy guilloche on the cap and barrel crafted from 18K gold and the mandarin-coloured citrine on the clip symbolize Rita Hayworth’s signature bright red hair.

The shape of the writing instrument is reminiscent of the on-screen temptress’ sensuous dancing figure, while the diamond studded cap top and cap ring are a reference to the sheer glamor she projected as Hollywood royalty. Each diamond on the cap is carefully selected and handset by an experienced master stone setter from Montblanc. The handcrafted 18K gold medium nib features a hole shaped like a heart, while the pen is crowned with the Montblanc emblem in mother-of pearl.
