Cabochon cap.  The nib is a wonderful writer with a true stub. Cap might be vermeil, but it's not stamped 925, so it may be heavy brass w/ gold plating. This is a scarce pen. There's a small scratch on the end of the barrel, see photos for close-up. Filler is a piston converter that's inside a threaded metal carrier.
