Excellent SHEAFFER BALANCE Oversize Black Fountain Pen with Rigid (thick gold) 14ct wide F (or thin M) nib

Absolutely excellent. This pen was not used much and is very close to what you would get if you'd purchase it in 1930s.
100% function

Lever filler

Freshly serviced with new ink sac and polished.

Very good condition.

Transparent ink window.

Barrel has no deep scratches

Original engravings

No oxidation on gold filled trim 

Cap has no deep scratches

No engravings


Nib is 14ct gold (very thick gold) with plenty of iridium (does not look that this pen was used much, if any).

It is in-between fine and medium with excellent balanced ink flow, see samples.

Total length is above 5.5 inches, when cap closed
