A few lines to thank Richie from Cyberpens for his very professional and caring customer service.

Earlier this week Royal Mail 'lost' (UK members will know what I really mean) a pen I purchased from Cyberpens.

Without a quibble Richie had a replacement on its way to me by Special Delivery.

Many thanks Richie. Birthday Boy was delighted with the pen by the way. :cloud9:

He did the same for me. He is truly outstanding. At times, a bit slow, but always generous and more than honest.

well... It is conforting hearing this.

I have purchased a pen from them 4 weeks ago, payment confirmed both by Paypal and Cyberpens but the pen has not arrived yet. I've e-mailed them several times to find out if the pen was still no sent or if it get lost by the mail service but I have no answer. I'm now trying to contact them by phone but I only had a machine saying "it is not possible to live messangers at the moment"

I know Cyberpens has great reviews here and in other forums but for me it's been a bad experience for the moment.

I hope I'll finally have news from them and/or my Tombow will be one of this days in my mail box

Have you PM'd him. I know that he is often out of town on business and it can take a while for him to get back to you. He seems to respond better to PMs here.

My pens never arrived (do I sense a common link here) and he doesn't answer my emails chasing them up. Would be very reluctant to buy from Cyberpens again. Luckily my purchase wasn't huge but the poor service has been well noted.

I've bought quite a lot of pens through cyberpens, but have to agree with Lloyd, he goes AWOL a lot and you just have to hang on in there. I'm still awaiting 2 different pens from him, one is over 18 months late... That said, I don't have to pay until they arrive ;)

has anyone heard of richie lately?? Because I bought pens from him in July and paid upfront and he said he would send them end of july as waiting for the nibs to arrive from the supplier. Unfortunately they didnt arrive then so I repeatedly sent him emails till he at last sent me one email end of august that the pens had been sent, but they should have arrived 2 weeks ago. I keep on asking where they are and trying to contact him. For me it was a lot of money and I really hope I havent lost it, its so disappointing.

unfortunately , my experience is also not good. Paid in february 09. was told via email that the item was despatched 15, march 09. Item never arrived. my inquiring E-Mails were not answered after that.My last email was 01, may 09. still unanswered.

I hope that after the "AWOL" , item might be really despatched, but my hope is finally very small.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
