Bittner Waikiki

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone. This is the Bittner Waikiki store here in Honolulu Hawaii. We will be having a pen fair with Kenny Jones, the national sales representative from Visconti. The show will be from 2pm to 7pm daily on February 17th, 18th, and 19th. Please come down and check it out. We're on the corner of Beach Walk and Kalia Road across from where Trump Tower is being built. There is validated parking at Embassy Suites. If you had any questions or need directions please give us a call at (808) 924-8828. We look forward to seeing everyone.

Is this Heaven?

(C'mon...someone fill in the rest of the line right below me. You know what it is.)

It's hell because I could be there to pick up a few more Visconti beauties from Ken~~~. :bunny01:

:roflmho:

At least it decided me on whether to go with the blue or clear Opera Master demonstrator, though! Thanks for the great pictures!

Remember, park at the Embassy Suites, not in front or you'll get a ticket. I'll be the guy outside trying to keep himself from going in...

I haven't been to the Waikiki location yet, but I'm sure it's a matter of time....

We just got back from Bittner's, and it was a pleasure meeting Kenny, for the first time. Though we had only intended to "just look"; the pens, and the prices they were offering was too irresistable. We left with our first Viscontis, 2 Van Goghs, a Maxi and Midi Tortoise, that we look forward to experiencing. :cloud9:

I also wanted to add that the staff at Bittner's always makes us feel welcomed, whether we buy anything or not.

That sounds familiar. When I met Ken Jones, I expected to buy one and bought three...

Luckily Waikiki is only a few miles from where I live!

IANAN consults his map to get the exact distance and realises that he has mixed up Waikiki with Warminster.

Again.

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of nothing at all...

I hate it when I do that.

Especially when it's winter and Warminster and I've only packed a skimpy bikini and some flipflops.

You guys made me look up Warminster in wikipedia. I was delighted to learn that it's where Robert Runcie, the future Archbishop of Canterbury crashed his tank into a house.

See, no one would believe that in a novel....

Hmmm, the only way I can go to the Waikiki Bittner is to sell some pens or limit my pen budget, which seems incompatible with going. Guess I'll have to stick with Carmel. :)

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
