There are others to chose from, they are just stored elsewhere.

I've seen a collection like this before. It's called the Mont Blanc boutique!

Just inked a 149 with an EF 14K nib, using MB Midnight Blue. It's a little dry, but should do fine on the paper I have to use at the office.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

Thank you for such a superb post.

Were it but possible to send it directly to the Montblanc International heads of Marketing and Pen Design.

The calligraphy is especially appreciated.

After some thinking, I decided to use my Rouge et Noir Fountain Pen with my augmented paper.

What is the experience like with the Augmented paper? Can you use any pen, not the starwalker that comes with it?

Unfortunately my boutique wont get it in for a demonstration & not very knowledgeable about it.. Would you be willing to do a review in a new topic by any chance with more photo's?

Hi,

Experience is ok so far. The folio feels great and is a show stopper at meetings. You have to use the star walker pen supplied with the augmented paper. You can use any paper. Will do a derailed review over the next few days.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

I currently use the leather large a5 organiser/calendar and the leather medium notes with the 146 note book (which does not bleed/feather like the note pad you receive with it)

After discussing the topic with my local boutique last night, they have confirmed they are awaiting on the 'licensing' - they would not elaborate further..

I look forward to seeing your review :)

Today I am using a Black eyedropper model 6 and a Black & Pearl model 326, both very comfortable to write with…

It is one of my favorites too. Thanks for selling it to me. It is always inked and goes to the office with me quite frequently.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
