Martin knows, but isn't letting on, so time for a poll!

I think that pink is conspicuous by its absence in the Safari line up, and as we know pink has become a lifestyle choice for some and might sell really well. This would of course exclude a lot of customers, so if/when pink is introduced, there would have to be a corresponding colour for the guys. Pale blue has gone, so this could be turquoise or maybe even a dark battleship grey....... but it would also have to be a colour that looked good with pink on the in-store fixtures. Hmmm.

This is a bit like Mastermind or Clue(do) :happyberet:

Why not a mix? let the red and the blue plastic pellets flow in the mold without mixing... a weird 2 color!

I voted purple but this time I'd like to see a coloured clip (rather than the usual black or chromed) more than some specific barrel colour...

I wanted to vote purple, but I voted brown because with the new brown studio pen, I think they'd be in a brown mood. Plus, the last couple of pens have been bright--lime, white--so it's time to soften the mood.

I voted brown, but turquoise was a close second.

I'd like to have the whole color range available today in textured finish, like the charcoal.

Looking at the current line up and some of the past limited runs, I'd say we are way overdue for a wild purple of some sort.

purple, pink, brown, turquoise (TURQUOISE, not the pastel-baby-blue one), any of these colors would be great!

...I "think" it will probably go towards pink/purple...

I think they should go with the Vacumatic-style laminated look.

Gooooo chartreuse!

I voted purple, but that may just be wishful thinking on my part since it's my favorite color.

Does anyone know when the new pen colours will actually be out?

They usually present the new colour at the Paperworld in late January and introduce it in the market in spring.

The coloured clip is a Great idea !

Oh yeeeeaah! (the Randy Savage reference, that is.)

Brown would not be my preference, but as mentioned earlier seems to make sense with the recent Brown studio.

How do you do the switch? last time I did that, the inner cap is not in the right place any more, and the cap won't close properly!

I agree with Pink, but more of a soft "Breast Cancer Awareness Pink". Seems like every manufacturer is doing this now.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
