New Website Up

The Write Pen

Recommended Posts

My friend Perry (pakmanpony) has gotten my "new and improved" website up and running. www.thewritepen.net Thanks also to Allan for the initial site work. Take a look. I enjoy working on the pens and find great satisfaction in making the old pens write again. If I can be of service, let me know. If you would like to be added to the testimonials, just send me a PM with your thoughts or add a post here.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, Christ is born! and a very happy and healthy New Year.

Regards,

danny

I just poked around on your site. Very well done. I am sure you will be hearing from various members. I will probably take you up on your restoration services for a test run. (No affiliation)

Happy Holidays.

FPNers:

I stumbled onto Danny, through this board. Over the past couple of months I have had the great fortune of Danny working on over a half dozen of my pens. He has taken my fleabay trash and turned them into the pens version of the Mona Lisa. I can't say enough good things about his workmanship, his helpfulness, his quality of work, his short turn arround time, his courtesy, and last but not least his low prices. I've told him personally, for the quality of work and the miracles he preformed for me, he deserved more renumeration than he charged me. He's got one of my pens in his shop now for work. Try him out, you won't be sorry. Usual disclaimers apply, no affiliation or interest in his business, more than a just satisfied client, Jim

Congratulations! I don't know Danny, but he did a nice job getting a vintage Sheaffer to write brilliantly after I brought it to his table at the Dallas Pen Show. Good work, fair prices, and sweet turn-around times.

Good luck, Danny, and happy holidays!

Simple yet informative website!! Congrats! :clap1:

Btw, since 'My Collection' is not ready for viewing, you may wish to make the webpage alive by adding this c18.gif to inform others that it is still under construction. For your consideration please. Merry Christmas!!

Cheers

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
