Yes another MB pen but what a pen-WOW

While looking at MB Writers Edition pens I never got what the whole fuss was about with the Agatha Christie pen.

Its a simple black pen with a nice silver snake clip.

Not exactly like the Dumas with its gorgeous design.

 

This pen has a very basic and simple design to it.Its a rather slender design not curvy like the Masterpiece pens. Its reminiscent to the 1920's-1930's MB pens.

Well yet again Bryant made this one very easy for me.He found a pen with no box which was a Bummer for me as I need the box to have the full set.The price was right so I couldn't say no to it but had a heavy heart due to the No Box issue.

I knew it will be tough to get a box of such a popular pen and to my surprise I found a Christie box with in 12 hr from paying for the pen itself-what a lucky break.

Well I got the box long before I got the pen and yesterday was the big day coming home to find it.

Now back to the pen.The first time I got to actually see the pen was already after I bought it (but not received it).A fried who is also a MB fan and lives close to me brought me the Christie just to show me what to expect.

The moment I saw the pen in real life and held it in my hands it hit me,I totally understood what was so addictive about this pen.

This design that looks so plain is what so wonderful about it,its simply gorgeous.The pen doesn't try to impress you with colours,pattern or curvy body.Its not trying to make a bombastic statement its simply a beautiful clean pen and I am so sad MB doesn't make more of these pens today.

Of course there is one thing that does grab your attention and that's the snake like clip and the snake carved into the nib,its simply hard to miss that and makes the pen look very special but yet in almost in a minimalistic way.

I would call this pen beauty through simplicity.IO must admit my favorite WE pen is the Dumas but now I just might change my mind with this pen.

Well as you would expect this pen is a wonderful writer.Its much lighter in weight them all other WE pens I one or tried and is wonderfully balanced.

It sits in the most natural way in the hand you can ask for.

The section is narrow and is close to be perfect for me (I wouldn't mind if it was a tad narrower).

To my joy this pen has a Fine nib and that's a great news for me because I cant enjoy so much any other nib.XF is usually too fine for me and M is too fat.

Still this F nib is a bit to fat but I am just wining as the standard of this pen is so high as a writer.

Just like the rest of my MB pens the nib is very smooth and nicely wet but it lacks a bit of feedback I learned to expect from MB's F nibs still this is a great nib that I can see using a lot.

I find myself staring at the Cobra on the nib,it really is beautiful and adds spirit to the clean look of the pen-well done Mr Designer !!!.

Just like most other WE pens this is also a piston filler and at that it does its work perfectly,its smooth and takes a nice large quantity of ink.

 

I also love the ink-view window,this is one of my favorite features in MB pens and I am glad to see they incorporated it to this pen.

Now when I got the pen my cat was walking around me nervously so I let him try it and the moment he got it I saw its like he feel very comfortable wit the pen.It was very hard to get the pen back as he was instantaneously fond of the pen and didn't want to let me have it back.I am afraid we will have big fights of who is gonna use this pen.

This pen is a true princess,its so clean and elegant that I fell in love with it.It reminds me of the Jaguar E type that is considered one of the best car designed ever simply because of its clean long lines and this pen is just the same.

This is probably one of the best users in the WE family and maybe the best.

What can I say I fell in love with this pen head over heels.

Sadly this pen comes with a bit of a hefty price tag but if you want a classic pen that you will use all day long without feeling any cramps but still enjoy looking then this pen is very hard to beat.

Thank you for the detailed photos. This pen is probably the Holy Grail of the MB Writer Edition - congratulations!

 

Personally, I love the pen itself, but the clip is too much for me.

 

Also, I must say that these are the best cat photos yet! Zuzik is a lovely model and I am amazed that he does not try to scratch the pens or roll them around on the floor. I would not trust my cats with pens for a second!

You got a strong point there in regards to no bling,this pen is really special.

As for the Hemingway-I wish I could but right now its way to expensive for me.

I like it. And I must say that the clip pretty much suits the pen given the thematic. It is exactly what I expected to recall Agatha Christie's atmosphere.

Back when the Agatha Christie was first available, I didn't care for the FP so much, so I bought the BP, which I love. Now I'm really diggin' the FP, too.

This time I must say I not only enjoyed your review (as usual) but I dig the pen as well. Nice color, classic look, reminiscent of the flat tops hard rubber pens of the 20s. In this context even a striking element as the clip is pleasant.

 

Now I must ask: which one do you like best of your latest acquisitions: this one or the Pope Julius??

Ohhhh I will not reply to the MB remark even though I really do want to :hmm1:

 

Zuzik has great taste in pens and squirels.All he want to do is play with FP's and taste his new squirels friends,sadly for him he gets access to pens but not to his wonderful new friends outside but he still keeps hoping one day we will forget the backyard door open and then he will get his chance to taste his new buddies :meow:

Actualy the way to pronounce it is a bit different,you dont make the Z sound.Sadly there isnt a letter in English to pronounse it correctly so Zuzik is as close as posible.

Yes the Z stand for Zadik.

I guess a better way to write it will be Tzutzik.

So from now on its Tzutzik and not Zuzik.
