How about some vacs! I'll steer clear of nomenclature. All are longer than a major and the same width. The blue one has a USA flex nib.

 

 

NICE set, but all are not longer than Major ;)

I have a fairly complete set of Parker Duofold Geometric ("Toothbrush") including couple with uncatalogued cap-bands and with exotic imprints, but here is just a complete color set.

I'm not David, I'm afraid, but I have about 25 vac juniors in various configurations. Got to get the camera warmed up, I guess. It's acting a little neurotic at the moment and I have to get out my instruction book. :rolleyes:

Here are vac juniors ...scuse bad pics, but it's late. :) A few aren't in these photos - like the ones at the office - and some are in drydock. The black ones aren't all black. Some there are reticulated lines, vertical lines, opaque, etc. No crystal, though. :crybaby: I have other Parkers, but these are my favorites.

Interestingly, the imprint on the Jack-Knife Safety Pen's barrels appears from left to right, and on the caps - from right to left...

 

Strangely, Parker always did that with longitudinal cap imprints. If you look at the image of the Jointless 018, that cap imprint is opposite of the barrel imprint as well. I don't know if that's because they would read the same when the cap was posted, or it had to do with the way they ran the rod stock through the imprinting machine. I would guess the latter.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy.       I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off.
